If it makes you feel better, radar shows it's only falling right there in Darlington and s-l-o-w-l-y moving out to the north (backstretch). There isn't anything else for a hundred miles. They should have plenty of time to dry and start on time.

Sit in Pearson in turn 4. It's the best overall view in the fall. Brasington is great in the spring but in the fall, the sun is in your face for the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the race and you can't tell one car from another as they come toward you. Tyler and Wallace on the front stretch are for pit road aficionados, and those people who HAVE to sit on the front stretch even doing so means they can't actually see much on the front stretch itself.

Pearson D is the usual. Awesome to see em coming out of 4
 
On USA right now is modifieds at Langley Speedway, Hampton Va.
been to that track many many times in the late 80’s n 90’s

Elton Sawyer was fast then
 
Just picked up some wings from the butcher. I’ll probably throw those in during stage 2😎
 
I love this place even though I've only been once, but it's one of my favorite races of the year just due to the track and Southern 500 tradition. Too bad this race isn't earlier in the day because then I would go alot more often since I am only 2 hours away. Lazy take I know, but hey I'm older and just don't feel like driving home that late.

That's about the only reason I don't go any more.
 
Looks like they don't the backstretch seats anymore? Maybe they started this a few years ago and I hadn't noticed....
