Race thread --- The Clash at Bowman-Grey

Every bit the dumpster fire I was expecting. One of these days I'm going to wise up and not even turn my TV on until we get to points race #2 in the season.

But the second half more than made up for it. For the record, I have NEVER been a fan of races on a track shorter than a half mile, and that goes doubly for stock cars, so the whole premise is lost on me from the word go. Throw in arctic temps, a sleet storm. 100+ laps run under caution, demolition derby driving and a caution so the field can refuel, and I was just done with it at that point. I'll admit last years race was a little better than my zero expectations, but this event wiped out any good will I had for it. I agree 100% that Daytona was no longer the answer, but I have never bought into the idea that this or LA was either. Why not New Smyrna or Five Flags?

So you've never been a fan of shorter than a half mile races. You were lost. You knew the weather was crap, watched 100+ caution laps, had zero expectations, but you watched it anyway....Thank you for your service.
