Ram Truck Team?

Dodge coming back to NASCAR with Cleetus McFarland as their driver isn't something anyone had on their bingo cards a few months ago.

Good for Cleetus, he's a pretty good iRacer. I expect some growing pains; it's part of the process.

The plan is for Dodge to get back to Cup, that is where I'm really interested in who changes teams

If you're Legacy, or Hass, you gotta think about it yeah?

Legacy just switched to Toyota, so I wouldn't count on them. Haas is a good candidate if they're still around.

I'd need a lot of convincing regarding Stellantis' financial stability before I signed with them. A new manufacturer would be good but there are other labels I'd prefer to see getting in.

I think going from the third best team in Ford or Toyota, to the best team in Dodge could be some good convincing personally.

Doing only Trucks is a fraction of doing either one of the other series. I think that is all they are doing. Find out tomorrow I suppose.

Cleetus McFarland doesn't bother me one bit. Anybody that can pull over 4 million followers on Youtube and no telling how many more on other of the various platforms is doing something right. Nascar fined him for bringing a camera in the car, but the second time he drove they were begging him to take one lol.

I don’t know if this is accurate but apparently Stellantis won’t return to Cup until Nascar has 80-100 million fans. Apparently NASCAR currently has 20 million fans but there is a plan in place to get too 100 million.
What in the world, how is this even measurable, that’s a wild demand. Does the nfl have 100 million fans ?

To the credit of Stellantis, they opted for the more expensive option (LMH) of the current sports car prototype regulations for Peugeot, completely re-worked the car once already, and are set to extend the program further beyond 2026 with the approval to build an all-new successor to the 9X8. All of that is hardly a cheap endeavor. It seems they’re really determined to revitalize the Dodge and Ram brands here in America now too.

Honda needs to **** or get off the pot, imo.

1000000000% no on Legacy. Why would you?

For the same reason legacy went to Toyota.
Legacy is a Tier 1 team for US. They are making big strides. Why would they **** can all of that for a returning manufacturer. Things couldn't be going better. Legacy went to Toyota because The Felon has Chevy in his pocket. Legacy answers to nobody, and Legacy is getting everything JGR gets.

But but but being the third tier Toyota team beats being the flagship Dodge team, right?

That is not accurate. They are a Tier 1 team just like JGR. Hence, the struggles until this year. That's fact, but I am sure there will be those here that want to yammer about preferential JGR treatment.

So according to you, HMS runs Chevy, and RCR, Trackhouse, etc are just afterthoughts getting the scraps.....but Legacy is on JGR's level?

LOLOLOLOLOL

I thought you were just messing around at first. This is some, uh, interesting math, to say the least.

I dont understand how even if there's 20 million fans and that math doesnt seem to math but for the sake of argument that is correct how in the world that fan base is expected to grow 4-5 times more.

Be the third team in line, or the first team in line...hmm I wonder.

Legacy is behind all of JGR and 23XI. Like take the Toyota Tinted Glasses for a second my guy.

I've heard time and time again that there's a pecking order at Chevrolet. But but but not with Ford, and certainly not with Toyota....just Chevy and "the felon" running the show, and all those other poor Chevy teams are lucky for whatever support they can get.

Supposedly, Gibbs and Stewart-Haas left Chevrolet because they weren't getting enough attention. Noooo, it had nothing to do with money, right?

Remember when Red Bull left the sport, and the only Toyota teams outside of Gibbs and Waltrip was JTG Daughtery? And they switched to Chevrolet. Hmmm.....

Hard to get excited about this in trucks. Nothing Ford or Toyota (or will be Dodge) under the hood which is essentially what Ford and Toyota fans cheer for. I’m all for Dodge coming back but not going to get excited about it until they are in Xfinity.

Pretty much why I read the tale and didn't post it. Nothing adds up, and we are soon going to hear a whopper from the Mopar folks. I put it in the shut up and race folder.

It's possible. They have said they still have the Nascar engine blocks they used from when they raced before. But it got crazy after that about how they couldn't call it RAM and that Dodge is a whole different and separate thing. In other words, corporate speak gobbly gook. Can't say I would be very surprised if the trucks didn't make it next year at this point.
They don't have anybody doing anything at this point that is set in concrete.

Jeffy, Chadly and the Chain Gang overseen by a Felon. I'm still distraught that HMS or a Chevy didnt win yesterday to secure some trophy that I didnt even know existed in my 40 years on this planet.

I've read that they are trying to secure some YouTuber to drive for them? I dont know, it just cant be excited as others are about this I guess. Maybe even a little skeptical as to who is going to race for them.

Here it is halfway thru this season and they can't tell who will for sure be building the Trucks, driving the trucks, no pictures of any support equipment, no hauler pictures ...but look we have a Truck and it goes around in circles and does a burnout. I've seen better displays at the SEMA show.

There are more Chevrolets in the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck fields than any other manufacturer. And that's a fact.

I wonder why.....
