How many other Nascar forums do you guys post on? Not asking for names because TRL probably wouldn't appreciate that. I just have one other board.

Three including this one.

One other geared towards camping @ NASCAR races. Another geared towards the media and NASCAR.

Two others, just dont post or visit much, too boring and not much fun.

Just checked one of my other two forums, two members are on line, both are mods. Last post was Monday, think I'll stay here awhile.

SMI (owns 8 Cup tracks) reports net profit $42.1M in 2012. Lost $6.4M in 2011 but that incl $48.6M writedown in mostly tax accounting move.

From basic operations standpoint, SMI made $41.8M in 2012, down from $47.5M in 2011. Admissions revenue down from $130.2M to $116M.

SMI made $41.8M in basic/core operations in 2012. It is predicting $37-46M in 2013.

Last time I looked at one of these decieving earnings reports, the TV money wasn't accounted for, and that's the big money.

SMI cleared approx $139.145M in broadcast revenue, up from $133.896M in 2011 MT

Interestingy, this is seperated from their 'core' financial report, which shows much less profit.

I used to post on several. I was even an admin on a couple of them. I have a low tolerance for certain types of posts and posters so I just stopped. This place is pretty good. There are some sharp people here that seem to get how this all works and realize that there are reasons that things happen and that not everything is some ridiculous conspiracy.

@nascarcasm
Lest we forget what happened the last time #NASCAR was in Las Vegas...

Brings back memories, Dad had a purple one with a black vinyl top when I was in high school. I got to drive it once to the junior prom.

Just bought a few hundred yards of installed carpet for one thing.

I'm sure matt and greg thinks she's a fat butterball, not me, just a nice rounded morsel.

Very nice indeed, and she has a zipper in front as a bonus!

When DP posts a picture from the current track to be raced at it becomes my wallpaper on my PC.

I got the pic of the 88 and 48 hauler on my desktop now.

I was looking at it tonight after several BL's. My Labatt ran dry. Had to tap the wifes stash.

I was wondering where the 48 car is at LVMS. Is it warm? Does it have friends to talk to?
Maybe a nice piece of ass to look at?
Does it Look at the #2 and want to just kick the chit out of it?
Does it look at the #24 and feel pity?

Sometimes I get all Jimmie Johnson. But the car is the other half. It is the Ying to the Yang. The Butter to the Peanut. Etc. Etc. Etc.

I hope my 48 is comfortable, quiet, and ready to strike come Sunday.

This weekend holds lots of truth. Lots of cars willing and wanting to show worth to the men who built them, and the men that will push them to the limits.

This is the first weekend of true downforce on the new bodies. And I for one of many on racing-forums.com will be watching with great curiosity, and wonder.

May the force be with the one who you have chosen. But may the 48 crush the dreams of all who oppose.
