Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Kyle & Owen Larson

Maybe Junior could buy one and add it to his collection at his place.

Eh, TBH I had to google the guy's name and I think he's asking too much for it. If I was Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars, I'd give him like $10k for both chassis.

I have no idea myself what they are worth on the market. I do think it would be a nice memento if 38,000
is lose change for a guy.

I'd probably pay $38k if the chassis was Petty's, Earnhardt Sr., Gordon or Johnson. But since this is someone that not everyone immediately knows, then it's not really worth that much TBH.

Has anyone else seen the Tim Richmond 30 for 30?

What a sad story. If Richmond had lived, we may have seen Gordon and Richmond on the same team and maybe even eventually Gordon, Richmond and Johnson.

Gettin' closer.....

I don't care what you people say, Daytona and Talladega are two of my favorite tracks, restrictor plates and all.

We were at the 2009 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona and It's one of my all time favorite races.

I've been getting emails from Daytona about the upgrades to the facility. The wife and I are thinking about expanding our trip to include the July 5th Daytona Coke 400. I really want to see the new DIS. If we do It'll expand our trip to 5 weeks, roughly 4,000 miles and 68 hours of actual driving time. Damn. After writing this I dunno about the extension. :D

New installment about the Sprint Unlimited drama.

  • Allmendinger not planning running Sprint Unlimited: per a Tweet from Chris Knight of Catchfence: "@AJDinger and JTG-Daughtery representatives confirm team as of today do NOT plan to participate in Sprint Unlimited @DISupdates". So #47-AJ Allmendinger doesn't plan on running the Sprint Unlimited race at Daytona on Feb 14th (FOX at 8m/et). So with #55-Brian Vickers (pole winner) and #47-Allmendinger (Chase driver) not running the event, the next two drivers in the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship points would get into the Sprint Unlimited: #15-Clint Bowyer and #27-Paul Menard. And no word if Brian Scott, who won a pole at Talladega last May, will run the event. Scott supposedly will run the #29 RCR Chevy in the Daytona 500 but no word if he will run the Sprint Unlimited. If Scott doesn't run the race, the spot would go to #13-Casey Mears who was 26th in drivers points. See news, rules and more on the 2015 Sprint Unlimited page.(2-2-2015)

A little more on this.....

AJ Allmendinger will not compete in next weekend’s Sprint Unlimited because his team was unable to find sponsorship for the exhibition event.

JTG Daugherty Racing co-owner Tad Geschickter told MotorsportsTalk that NASCAR’s late decision to include all 16 Chase drivers in the Sprint Unlimited left his organization with little time to find a sponsor.
