Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

My guess is Wendy Venturini as it has her name on it ;)
The one in the pics is 'Ol # 1,the original, and will NEVER be sold. Too many autographs on it, and the drivers try to outdo each other when they sign it.At Pocono last summer, Jack roush tried to sign over Jimmie Johnson. Wendy Venturini was a favorite ,for obvious reasons....

This cooler of mine never fails to garner a bit of conversation at the tracks......

and I like to mix it up now and then....

Sorry so big, I don't know how to resize...

"Sorry so big, I don't know how to resize" Have you ran that thing trough Tech? Nice job and pretty Cool!

That's awesome MM. I've seen the grill advertised, but I've never seen a cooler done up like that.

FYI, NASCAR Hotpass will be HD only beginning with the August 5th race at Pocono. The SD feeds are being dropped.

That's too bad for those that are HD challenged. It's a pretty good service and an excellent way to watch the race. I hate to hear that but this means that they're going to reduce our monthly bill, right? o_O

Well DP I've got HD in the house and digital in the rv because the auto antenna tuner doesnt handle HD but if I'm in the camper I should be at the race in the stands. Like you said it does suck for the ones with digital.

High definition verses standard definition. HD is like going to the movies while SD is like watching something on a 5 inch black and white TV.

Kapeesh?
Yeah I got it just messin with FB. :D

Cool pic there Flash . Were you able to chat with them ?

I did'nt get to go! The damn dr won't let me do **** lately. Bubba Speedway in Ocala had a big modified race this past Fri and Sat the pics from a friend of mine. I've talked to both of them before they have been around Florida for years. LOL I raced against David when he was running asphalt LMs back in the early 90's kid tore the whole left side off my car one time  Buzzie pretty much only runs dirt he's incredible still hauls ass and he's 70 some years old!

Wayne Reutiman was also one hell of a driver. I loved watching him wheel a sprint car. Amazing Buzzie can still get it done. I grew up watching them also in Florida. Sure you know of Dave Scarborough, he was my hands down favorite. He could wheel a Late Model and Sprinter like nobody I've ever seen.

Yep Wayne was great to! Scarborough was the best there was at Citrus Co.
Kinda sounds like you wandered around some of the same tracks I did over the years. Sunshine Speedway, Inverness, Ocala Speedway ( both dirt, asphalt and now dirt again versions ) Auburndale, Golden Gate, Volusia Co.( both the asphalt and dirt track ), Columbia County, Lake City, Lakeland, New Symrna raced at them all. Always wanted to race at EastBay but it was a haul for us and I mostly ran asphalt.

Yes sir, grew up around all of them and local racing to me is where it's at still. I'm a asphalt guy too so I'd say New Symrna is my favorite off that list. Although I love Sunshine and glad to see it back. I wish someone could bring back Bronson though, that was my favorite.

Bronson's not racing now? I thought I'd heard someone had opened it back up?

Tomorrow at 10 AM the wife and I will be pulling out for the brickyard. Get there Thursday at 2 or 3. Bought my first laptop today to keep in touch with my goings on and that means that I will be able to keep track of the commercial lineup from Andy and help fender needle folks and also read DPs in depth analysis about nascar and life in general. I enjoy all of this so being able to stay in touch is a good thing. :D

Gonna be hard to follow commercials since the Brickyard 400 is my once a chance year to take at least two naps during a race.

I'll be out of town for a Dwight Yoakam concert this weekend. I'm recording the race so I'll breeze right past those crappy commercials when I get home :D
(Prolly breeze past some of the snoozy green flag runs, too)
