Solid 9. So much better than the single file freight trains of the past few years. Cars running in at least three different grooves, lotsa different strategies. If a NASCAR fan didn't enjoy this, might need another sport to follow. This was good stuff.
It was what a 500 mile should be, a bit of a grind! There were lots of strategies with the weather and gas mileage coming into play. The drivers really had to manage their tires which added to the skill factor. When it was all said and done there was only a handful of cars on the lead lap because one car had them covered. I was entertained...
I do wish Atlanta had a better date on the schedule. It's always had crappy dates. The season finale was cool but mid to late November in North GA can be "chilly. In truth attendance was only great for a rather small time frame for the spring race. If it was in early April I'd consider attending. It's a cool looking place now with the old asphalt and few seats.
