Rate The Cup Race: Richmond I

8.5, good racing, very good parity throughout the field from what I saw. Don't see how people or fans could think that was boring even if it didn't have an exciting finish.

9.5 before Stenhouse did his thing. 8.75 overall. Too many pit stops and restarts late, just no time to get any real racing going. The longer the run got in the first two stages the better the racing got.

You can always count on a Roush car to **** the timing of the race up.

Overall a solid 5..
Sorry I can't ignore the fact it was a snoozer for the first 300 plus laps.
The fans NASCAR needs to pick up had already left the stands to beat the other 5,000 in traffic before we actually had some racing.

8. I didn’t fall asleep and thoroughly enjoyed what I saw.

From start to finish, that was an exciting race, but especially towards the finish. Plenty of talking points come out of this one. Kyle Busch, for the second time in his career, wins three Cup races in a year. What was Jamie Mac doing? Why does Stenhouse wreck in every single race? What the hell happened with MTJ's jackman? Chase Elliott now has eight second-place finishes. Stewart-Haas had a really strong showing from all four cars. William Byron was putting up a personal best performance. Is Jimmie Johnson and crew finally flipping the switch?

I loved this race. I only hate that the 78 couldn't be allowed to show what he had there at the end, but that is racing.

8. Comer's and go'ers. Hard racing. Contact too (dare I say?)!!! First couple stages were good but very tame compared to the last final 60 laps.

I abstain on the grounds of extreme bias. The car is not as good as it will be. The car isn't the best in the field. The driver is badass.

7.5. Somehow this one failed to capture my attention. Maybe it's because I think I can stay awake for night races and then always wind up falling asleep. I tried to set the DVR for the last 50 laps or so and was too groggy to even do that right.

8.0. While I like night races I usually fall asleep. But not for this one as it was decent race but after last weeks split-up Bristol race found it wasn't exciting until the last fifty laps and even then it wasn't what I would call a barn burner.

8.5. A great race at the front and throughout the field. Long runs and comers and goers. I hated the result, but it wouldn't feel right to mark the race down because of that. And how about that 10 car... a great drive by Almirola until his crew let him down late in the race.

I totally enjoyed the race. Mostly green flag racing. I was impressed with Kyle's move through field, I didn't think it possible on a short track with few cautions to help. There was competition throughout the field. I didn't think short pitting would play out but it did to some degree because of the lack of cautions. A variety of drivers ran up front but in the end the experienced drivers dominated the top 10.
