Deducted points for the cautions and a lackluster final 10 laps. Overall was a good race and think the segments are a nice fit for restrictor plate races.

8. With the exception of the crashing in the middle, great race and great finish. First and second stages were great too.

Best Daytona 500 in years.

10. Segments were good racing, got little crazy after but that's Daytona. Once everything settled down the racing was good and had a great finish.

I'm debating between an 8 and a 9. Hmmm...

I'll go with an 8 since the cars were single file towards the end. Otherwise, an exciting race.

EDIT: Not a 10 because of too many cautions/wrecks.

Restrictor plate racing, especially at Daytona, has become nothing more than a crashfest. The middle part of the race was terrible. The last 30-40 laps were solid. I'm glad it finished under green so things could naturally play out.
