Rate The Race: Kansas II

I'm not going to blame one race for putting the #20 out of the championship running. Matt basically said they were inconsistent this year. Better performance before the playoff started would have put them higher above the cut line going into Kansas.

But the #42? The Chase format gave them the shaft.
yea I cannot understand how he missed it. I need an education on that, unbelievable really. He had a lull here and now poof....gone.

Their first store was in Springfield, MO. I think the second was on the Lake of the Ozarks in MO. After that I have no idea.

Their website states that the original location is the one located at:
1935 S Campbell Ave Springfield, MO 65807
you are correct the first one was in Springfield, I had been to that one to and its like 3 floors. What a cool store that was.

Easily explained. Instead of emphasizing consistent performance over the entire season, or even over a 10-race Chase, the playoffs emphasize performance over three rounds of 3 races each. You can win one race and finish 40th in the other two (avg. finish 27th), but don't run 2nd in two races and crash out of the third (avg. 15th). The format leaves even a great team minimal opportunity to compensate for a single poor race.

But, but, the drama, ya know?

What was so bad about it ?

NBC uses too many split screens and weird camera angles for me as I would appreciate more overhead shots so I can get a field snap shot. Also showing all the cars passing the start finish line a few times a race is good. For me it wouldn't take a whole lot to clean up the video but the booth would require all new personnel. JMO and I have no beef with people that enjoy NBC.

when I was running regional, a couple of us would stop in there for lunch quite a bit. Really nice restaurant inside them also. The Bass Tracker brand of boats are built close to there about three miles East. Almost impossible to go inside and not come out with something.

Frankly, I do not remember too much about the race. There was that big wreck, poor Larson's engine gave out, and MTJ notched up his 7th win of the season.

Larson truly deserved to go the final four. The fact that he will not move on to the round of eight due to one bad race among many, many more outstanding races is farcical.

It was nice to see MTJ rebound from his early penalty. Yeah, that's about it.
