the first 90% a 6 the last 10% a 9. I was laughing my ass off at JPM. I don't know what was funnier him spinning shrub or his interview saying he did it on purpose. at least has balls and didn't say it was "one of those racing deals" and Michael Waltrip finished 2nd and Martin Truex did well too.
And him being truthful cost him 2 laps. While Kyle, who knows how to play the game, escaped punishment. JPM will need to get smarter if he's ever going to be a player. As someone pointed out that's one reason why he's 700+ points behind. He has to respond to every challenge.
I can tell, first hand, drivers and crew members (in general) lost a lot of respect for him after that.
Again, I don't know the happenings inside NASCAR, but I hope they do the right thing and apply the same standard to JPM that they applied to Kurt at Dover and Darlington and to Kyle on countless occassions.
Harvick never admitted to spinning the 18 truck at Martinsville, but he got penalized for that.So you know how the drivers and crew members feel but in the same breath you don't know the happenings inside Nascar. Dude! If you're so close to the drivers and crew members that they are sharing their feelings about another driver surely they'll clue you in on what Nascar is doing about it. Doesn't one follow the other. Or, is this just 1 more case of where you're mouth is writing checks your ass can't cash.
And, to bring up what Kyle said weeks ago as some kind of justification is just weak. Kyle didn't admit that he did anything on purpose. But, you in your ominpotentence knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men can step up and tell us exactly what he was doing. He didn't admit to it, he wasn't penalized. JPM did admit to turning Kyle and he was penalized. Did you, oh Great One, ever think that it was just that simple. And, usually the simplest reasons are the best ones.
Besides this is a slight difference to putting a wheel mark on the side and actually turning a car with oncoming traffic. But then I don't really expect you to use any common sense...
Harvick never admitted to spinning the 18 truck at Martinsville, but he got penalized for that.![]()
That's not the reason NASCAR, ESPN or FOX gave at the time.No Harvick got penalized for showing his ass once he left the track. Remember speeding thru the garage area, parking his car, and saying if they wanted to speak to him they knew where to find him. That's what led to him being sat down.
His actions on the track would have been a fine and probation at best.
The quote of the day, however, came from Kyle Busch who was qualifying for his Nationwide car. After I interviewed him on camera, I asked him “off camera” how his cup car was.. he said it was awful. That they had made it a little better but he still needed a lot more. I joked that he was hard on his crew. He said “why do you think I’ve won 5 races, my crew last year couldn’t take it.” Wow. At least he’s direct.

Andy, so you think that Kyle is the new Junyer huh? Tell you what, not only would NASCAR like it better, but all the networks and everyone else would rather have JPM the new Junyer. You really do think childish.![]()
He is a child. Only a mere 19 isn't it?![]()
Nineteen, twenty, whatever! I remember how much I thought I knew at that age. I was an expert on just about everything. LOL I knew exactly how to raise a kid properly and then they'd act just as they were expected. Then I had kids.![]()
Not to go too far off subject, but we all go through that. It's been said, and I've witnessed this, that kids don't get over that until about the age of 25. Andy still has a way to go, but it's normal. Well, maybe not as much as he does, but he'll learn...one of these days.
