I am still trying to make up my mind as I thought a 6 or 6.5 but I could live with a 7.
The weather is ideal.Yeah, I did a Hank Kimble from Green Acres on that one as I am waffling more than a politician trying to get re-elected. I think I will just withdraw my rating all together as I just don't think I can be fair. There were some real highlights like seeing a first time winner but I just hate the big wrecks and all the cautions near the end.
I hope you are having good weather as I need to make a brief trip to Nashville and then to the panhandle for a quick stop and then head east.
Who's Dan Ryan? Googling gets me a PA home builder...The unnecessary wrecks are awful and time consuming but fortunately not dangerous. The cars are glued together just like on the Dan Ryan at rush hour but at least you can pass on your own.

I would give it a 5. The finish really saved it for me. The race as a whole was incredibly boring for me. I was never one way or another in regards to plate racing, but after yesterday I think I'm starting to dislike it. I like that it is a different style so you have to be able to understand and do it as a driver, but I absolutely hate how much it allows the leader to dictate what happens. For 3 hours yesterday we watched the leaders dive back and forth stalling out charges from their competitors. I don't mind blocking, but I hate how the leader jumping from lane to lane absolutely kills the momentum of another car. Side drafting is awesome because of how unstable the cars are, but it just looked almost impossible to go anywhere. Guys were marred in 20th place for lap upon lap because the lines just would not move.
Again, finish of the race was tremendous and the late dashes for position are great, but it was the first race where I lost a lot of interest in it mid way through this season. I just got tired of seeing guys not moving.
I've never liked the blocking. Blocking isn't racing. At a slower track that kind of racing would result in the leader being knocked out of the way.For 3 hours yesterday we watched the leaders dive back and forth stalling out charges from their competitors.
There were some drivers like Jimmie Johnson and Ricky Stenhouse (others too I am sure) that could move up but your point is well taken. I do think that plate racing requires a certain skill set although one much, much easily acquired then what it would take to running Bristol or Darlington successfully. What is dull to me is the same as what you said as cars are dependent on other cars to do anything. In my mind racing is about having a strong car that can pull out and pass instead of going from 3rd place to 38th in a straightaway. I know others feel differently and like that sort of thing.
they do at larger tracks also, just ask Chase Elliott.I've never liked the blocking. Blocking isn't racing. At a slower track that kind of racing would result in the leader being knocked out of the way.
