Kinda seems like Martin is just making laps, I doubt anybody is putting a lot of effort into the 14 right now. They better be getting ready for 2014 IMO

Nothing against Martin at all and I agree the equipment probably isnt the best. Maybe Mark was told to back it down and save the cars

There is a heck of a difference between not wrecking cars and not trying to win . Kyle , Jimmie , Jeff and Matt don't push their equipment to the point of wrecking , but they can still run up front . If you ask Tony and his sponsors if they would prefer to run 10th or 20th , what would they say ? With half decent equipment , Mark is capable of running 10th every week.

I never even thought about that, you probably nailed it. Mark would be the guy I would pick to drive for me......... he hates to tear up cars and his info feedback is probably some of the best there is.

Even if that were true , R&D isn't about learning how to run slow , it's about learning how to run fast . An R&D car , by definition , should be faster than the other cars , not slower . Maybe not legal , but faster .

I doubt they're going to hit on anything significant in a short period of time with a driver that's been with the organization for literally two months.

car hasn't been too slow when they had a driver behind the wheel. Pre rookie Dillon ran 14th and was running third at Dega his second time in the 14 car. think you will get a big plate of crow to eat next year Ted?

But it should be at least a fifty/fifty deal right . Some things should make you faster .Heck , they are only trying things that they 'think' will make them faster. They shouldn't be wrong every time.

I think if you look at Newman's performance since Tony went down its clear that SHR has the ability to be fast, I just don't think they have the resources to make all their teams fast at once.

In regards to the topic of the sledgehammer throwing, I thought it was hilarious and I literally fell out of my chair laughing when I first saw it. Big thumbs up from me.
