RFFL 2021

Dunno if the game's scoring method has changed but in previous years I always thought that a score of 300 points per race was above average.

But this past race the RFFL group as a whole averaged over 300 points and two players are averaging over 300 points per race for the season.

mercy . . . .

It did, most laps led got increased from 5 to 10. and stage points award got expanded from top 5 to top 10 in descending order. So basically... if you're picking the guy or gal that dominates the race leading the most laps and winning stages then you're racking up major points, in combination with the rest of your roster possibly getting awarded stage points and a lap led too.

^^^ the exact point structure can always be seen by all player's in the 'about tab' and is locked unchangeable before the drop of the green flag at Daytona.

@dirtfan rolls the center at Martinsville to his league leading 2nd win of the season! with selection Truex/Byron/Blaney/Bubba

Truex and Hamlin tied in A-list for highest scoring driver of the race. Byron and Bubba highest scorers of B and C list.

Based upon the scores I've been getting I'm obviously not doing that.

^^ Whoops looks like my vision and memory servers were temporarily down for maintenance, Mr. @ToyYoda has 2 wins too.

I had an ok week with Elliott, DiBurrito, Wallace & Jones. You're running away with this thing though.

Congrats to @Snappy D as he brakes-thru for his 1st win of the season at Richmond and brakes into the top10 standings at the same time.

His lineup consisted of Hamlin/Dillon/Bell/Stenhouse for a total of 360 points. Hamlin was the highest scoring driver of the race.

Approaching the end of the spring segment, we all attempt to survive Talladega next week in race #10.

Thank you!

In addition to 3 top 5s, my worst starter finished 13th.

Harvick was one of my 3 starters in the top 5. Nobody wanted to pick a good driver for a crapshoot race, and I had only started him once this season until today.

This was a great day by normal track standards, and an incredible day by Daytona/Talladega standards.

That a boy Turtle! 2nd win for ya. Oh so close having all 4 picks in the top
10 including the winner. Yoda was bearing down on ya but you nipped
him by 1 point. Enjoy the week being the points leader.

lol I was all set to chuck the laptop around before the caution fest juggling of the field. Got lucky with Suarez, benched Chastain pre-race tech :owquitit:

1st year playing the game you are right in the thick of it my dude.

Top Secret info that helped me when I first started out and really began watching nascar religiously in combination with fantasy,
https://www.driveraverages.com/

Scouring over the patterns, laps led, who's good at what track, who's not so good at what track, all the numbers etc, or just blank stare at it too.

Typically strategy wise I like to stray away from repeat winner's of last year's race, and then find those that have had speed or strong runs but haven't necessarily cashed in on it yet, or if they have super strong track record combined with hot momentum. If you're attempting to pivot away from the chalky choices and save allocations in a segment, then it also helps to locate driver's good at said track, but might fly under the radar. (there is a % owned column on the dgg too).

Eleven races in and @Turtle84 continues to lead the pack of 19 players, averaging over 300 points per race.

Meanwhile I've only got more points than a someone who quit playing and one other guy. :owquitit:

^^ I forgot my most important criteria to make the squad

Paint Scheme if it don't look good no bueno. If gonna go down in fantasy flames rather it be a beauty.

Another butt kick by Turtle "Lewis Hamilton" Motorsports ! Bravo !

Ugh sorry guy's, @Turtle84 stripes the wall to win Darlington with lineup Hamlin/Reddick/Larson/Chastain

The highest scoring driver of the race was the dominant Martin Truex Jr. for 135 points in A-list.

We venture to Austin Texas next week for the first ever cup race at COTA and what will mark the beginning of the Summer segment.

(Thank you all for continuing to play and compete, in what is a marathon of a season) :)

I was dead last this weekend with a putrid 202 points. Any hopes of catching the leaders went up in smoke. I'm gonna have to be very consistent for the rest of the season to have a chance @ this thing.

My gut told me to go with Hendrick guys etc because I know they have ALWAYS been strong at Dover, but normally JGR is as well. I never expected them to all be quite that far off.
I also had no idea they were only going to Dover once this year or would have went with Hendrick guys tbh. Part of it it though was knowing it's a marathon and trying to save some drivers since we only have 8 uses. I wanted to save a use for play-offs Dover with some of the Hendrick drivers and never realized they don't go there again this year, but I definitely know how you feel this week. :(

My fantasy line-up showing some promise today. They finished 1-2-3-8 @ the end of stage 2. I need a good weekend to have a chance @ winning this thing.

It was such a wildcard weekend, I feel lucky to get a decent finish.
We still have 23 races (I think) to go so thats 92 more decisions to be made.
Turtle Motorsports has the hot shoe and will still be tuff competition.

Truex Jr and Chastain both laid eggs. Oh well, as they say, 'on to the next one'.
