May we have an exciting race, but no shenanigans like last year.
Please, let the rain stay away.

Ehh, I say watch the race, eff the Chase.I'm getting sick of this Chase talk.
I will NOT be watching next weekend's race at Chicago.

I just hate this year's format. I liked the Chase from 2004-2013.I really don't understand all the Chase bashing.
Nobody rips on the NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB playoffs. It's literally the exact same idea. 16 teams in the NBA/NHL playoffs that don't last four games.
Those that hate the Chase would love how European sports do it. One team gets ahead by four games and costs to a title because there are no playoffs.
That's going to kill the ratings!!![]()
I think Brad figured that out at the right time, he was fixin to get bumped.Harvickis going to dump him for that.

It's interesting. The playoff system of stick and ball sports do produce winners that did not do well in the regular season (much like NASCAR).
See: 1997 Florida Marlins and 2010 New York Giants
Of course, the inherent problem with a NASCAR playoff is that a non-playoff team can ruin the chances of a playoff team. In the NFL, the Patriots don't really have to worry about the Browns showing up and causing them to be eliminated.
Because 43 car races tend to be a little more exciting than 16 car races. So why not run the Chase races with just Chase cars. Get rid of everyone else. What would be so wrong with that?

Am I the only one who is hoping for a first time winner tonight? It'd be cool if someone is able to race their way in tonight.
Let's go 42!
