Just saw where Bud Moore has passed away. NASCAR and this country lost a good one today.
One of the best. RIP
Bud was a machine gunner in the army during WW2, went ashore at Utah Beach in Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and after that fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Two Bronze Stars, five Purple Hearts.
“We had a job to do and a lot of good men died doing it.” RIP Bud Moore.
Thank you, Bud.
For everything from sacrifices in WWII to being one of the more decorated owners in the history of NASCAR.
Thank you for everything
When I think of FoMoCo racing in the 60's thru the 90's.... Bud Moore and the Wood brothers always come to mind..... the 60's and 70's had Holman -Moody... but.... when they dropped out it was Bud and the Wood Brothers for a pretty long stretch...... Bud hung in like a hair in a biscuit..... I was hoping Greg could carry on.... but... it wasn't to be....
Bud was a true hero in every sense of the word........
We will miss you Bud........
So long Bud, you will be sadly missed.
Another NASCAR legend ...............................gone. "Bud" Moore was a hero in more ways than one. A true pioneer.
