Bud was a machine gunner in the army during WW2, went ashore at Utah Beach in Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and after that fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Two Bronze Stars, five Purple Hearts.

“We had a job to do and a lot of good men died doing it.” RIP Bud Moore.

When I think of FoMoCo racing in the 60's thru the 90's.... Bud Moore and the Wood brothers always come to mind..... the 60's and 70's had Holman -Moody... but.... when they dropped out it was Bud and the Wood Brothers for a pretty long stretch...... Bud hung in like a hair in a biscuit..... I was hoping Greg could carry on.... but... it wasn't to be....

Bud was a true hero in every sense of the word........

We will miss you Bud........
