Said vs. Biffle

Simply put, Boris Said does not belong in a Cup Series racecar. He has ONE Truck Series win and ONE Nationwide Series win, which in my book does not qualify you to even climb into a Cup Series racecar.

Not to change the subject, but have you seen how many starts, wins and top-5 finishes that "Daddy's Money" Menard has had? If Paul can get a CUP ride, Boris should be able to as well. ;)

Yeah, Boris Menard would have a ride by now. ;)

Here, I'll let you do the math:
PM: 77 top tens across 3 series. 2 oval track wins. Permanent NASCAR ride.
BS: 16 top tens across 3 series. 0 oval track wins. Good luck.

OK, I'll do the math:

Daddy's Money: CUP Starts, 169. CUP wins, 1. CUP top 10 finishes, 15.
9% Top 10 Finishes

Big Bad Boris: CUP Starts, 43. CUP wins, 0. CUP top 10 finishes, 8.
18% Top 10 Finishes

Here's the thing...If Boris and Paul both lost their financial backing, which driver would be apt to get the first full-time top NASCAR series ride?
Just like what happened on Sunday; Boris is an outsider. Nobody gives a sh!t what Boris Said.

Neither would.

If what they were saying on Race Hub thay Boris called Biffle to profusely apolocize and now everythings fine. Damn.

...profuselied...

Wow, post a Merriam-Webster link for that word, I'm at a loss.
The way NASCAR.com reported it, I gathered Boris realized he may have cut off his own nose. As an outsider, you don't talk smack about a veteran series regular in a series that you hope to be lucky enough to drive in again.
Biffle is a two-time NASCAR Champion and Boris has two career NASCAR wins:confused:

It's not a word, it was a joke. I'm surprised you need Merriam's help on that one. ;)

I'm not sure what anyone reported. I listened to what Boris and Greg said. Boris did call Jack roush to apologize for wrecking Ragans car, so maybe that's what is getting you confused. Jack absolved Boris and said (?) Ragans spotter had called him clear.

You're right, it's not a word. I didn't need Merriam's help on that one; I thought you did.
I realize that you're not sure on what was reported so here's the article..>

Biffle, Said make amends over the phone

Greg Biffle and Boris Said discussed their issues from Monday's race at Watkins Glen over the phone on Tuesday and according to Biffle, who talked about the feud on SPEED's Race Hub, the matter is over.

"[Said] understands and he apologized for running me off in the carousel," Biffle said. "He didn't know he did. That was probably the whole thing that led to him coming up to my truck because he didn't understand why I was so mad at him.

Temper, temper"He ran me off the race track in a very vulnerable spot, similar to what he did to the [David Ragan]. We talked about it and I told him, 'You can very well be where Marcos Ambrose was [Monday]. You need to get in a fast car and show your talent, not be beating and banging and running guys off the race track at spots like that.' We kind of said our peace and that's that."

In Monday's race at Watkins Glen, Biffle and Said traded shots early in the race and then Said was involved in the scary last-lap crash that involved David Reutimann and Biffle's teammate David Ragan.

Following the race, Said went to Biffle's hauler and following a brief altercation, Said had some very choice words for Biffle.

On Tuesday, Biffle said there were a couple reasons he was so upset with Said.

"Several things to come mind. One -- he wrecked me there last year. Never called me, never said anything about it. Number two -- he ran me off in the carousel. That's what ticked me off. Same place we saw the [Jeff Gordon] and [Jeff Burton] in that huge wreck [in 2010] -- ran me off the track there and that was why I was mad at Boris Said. Then he goes and hits [Ragan] off the track.

"And then after the race, not concerned about the safety of those guys, he drives to my truck and parks behind my car. I was fine after the race and that just set me off. I didn't act properly there. I shouldn't have been as aggravated as I was. He should have went and parked at his truck, took his gear off and talked to me or whatever he wanted to do."

One of the things Said said in his post-race interview was he was going to give Biffle "a whipping" and that Biffle would show up to the track soon with "a black eye." Biffle was able to find humor in the situation and even paid Said a compliment.

"I felt like it was like fifth grade, right, which means after recess, 3 o'clock on Wednesday, we're going to fight over by the fence," Biffle said. "Boris has a lot of talent, a lot of skill. He's just not showing it."

Personally, I loved Boris' "I hope they don't fine him, he just threw a couple little girlie punches."

Now that's funny:D

Like I said Ford, I don't care what was reported, since I listened to both of them say it themselves. For example, Biffle said HE called Boris "and I have to apologize for how I acted ". I don't see any of that in the article. I think you need to 'read up' to get a grip on all this.

Yeah, that's classic. They are both still taking shots at each other, so things may boil over again.

Because you have a keen sense of the obvious, right?
I think I'll listen to the NASCAR.com article before I'll accept your point of view.

lol There's one on every board. They jump into something before reading, get confused, and then resist all efforts to get them unconfused. :tomato::tomato::nyanya:

Here's the thing...If Boris and Paul both lost their financial backing, which driver would be apt to get the first full-time top NASCAR series ride?

Yay-Yay Jaylee or Travis "May I buy a Vowel" Kvapil would be better choices for a full-time CUP ride than either of those two, IMO...

Without Daddy's Money, Paul would have been Long Gone a long time ago...

Boris Said has a few more things to say about Greg Biffle

From Dustin Long.....

The feud between Boris Said and Greg Biffle simmers with both racing in different events this weekend but that didn’t keep Boris Said from being asked about Biffle and stating what he thought of the Cup driver.

Said, who is competing in the Nationwide race in Montreal (while Biffle is in Michigan for the Cup race) had this to say about last week’s incident with Biffle:

“After Watkins Glen, my phone blew up. Within a half hour I had (Biffle’s) address 40 times (after saying in an interview if someone texts him Biffle’s address he’ll go there, which he didn’t). For the life of me, I don’t understand it. I think the biggest story was Brad Keselowski almost winning with a broken (ankle) and Marcos Ambrose winning his first (Cup) race. I didn’t mean for it to happen, I didn’t plan for it to happen. It’s just that I’m kind of an old-school guy. I don’t tweet, I don’t Facebook. I don’t even know how to do it. He made me made during the race. He was a jackass. Instead of wrecking his car because I have a lot of respect for Jack Roush, I didn’t do it. I told them over the radio that I’m going to meet you over at your trailer and I’m going to give you the first shot and we’re going to settle it.

“That’s just the way I am. If we would have both socked each other in the eye, I would have been fine with it and walked out. I guess in this day and age with TV cameras, and when someone puts a camera in front of me, I’m just honest and I say what’s on my mind. After a race, you’re all amped up on Adrenaline and I said all that stuff. I don’t regret it. That’s just me.’’’

Said was asked what his feeling was when he saw the interview of him after the race and the comments he made about Biffle:

“I don’t really like looking at it, to be honest with you because normally, 90 percent, 99 percent of the time I’m pretty happy, I have a good time. I love racing. I feel privileged to be racing in NASCAR even if it’s only one or two times a year. I get mad when those guys tell me that because you’re a part-time guy, Greg Biffle was mad at me a year ago at Watkins Glen for racing him too hard. He came up to me and was yelling at me, “Every restart you were three wide, why are you racing that hard, you’re not a fulltime guy?’’ It’s just bull----. He’s just an idiot.

“I told him that James Finch, who I was racing for (at Watkins Glen) has been sending his entry blanks into NASCAR way before you ever came on to the scene. It’s a fulltime team trying to stay in the top 35 in points. Granted, I’m not racing for driver points but that guy that hired me expects me to give 100 percent, and I’m not going to give him any less. That’s the way I am.

“My explanation was that Michael Waltrip this year is running a few races. I’m sure when he gets a sponsor he doesn’t tell his sponsor, “Oh by the way, before I take your money, I’m going to have to pull over for all the regular guys, I can’t race those guys that hard. It’s idiotic. It’s racing. I really take offense to that. I really took offense to what (Biffle) said.

“I feel privileged I’m in the sport. I take time for any fan who wants to talk to me, unlike a lot of those guys. I like competing. I love racing.

“I still think Greg Biffle is a jackass. We’ve settled our differences. I won’t be going to Christmas dinner with him, that’s for sure. I don’t think I’ll be exchanging any punches with him either.’’

Now it comes out that Ragan's spotter never called him clear, which is not what Jack told Said.

It's crystal clear now. Ragan was blocking so Said couldn't use the outside to beat him into turn 2, which is what I figured all along. I still feel that Said could have back off just a little and then use a bump to take the spot back. Ragan also had a chance to turn right and get off Said, so maybe it's all on Dave.
