Silly Season 2025

Yeah I'm sure Rodney was the problem....

I mean, the team is 23rd in points. I don't think their struggles have much to do with Rodney. He's one of the best at his craft, letting him go in the middle of the season is a puzzling decision, to say the least.
 
Rodney’s underperformed since the move to the nextgen car. He only has two wins that came in back to back weeks during the 22’ season and “only” 16 top 5’s over the course of roughly 120 races.

You could do a lot worse at CC but it seems like he might’ve lost his fastball with the nextgen car.

Kevin Harvick was a past his prime driver. Josh Berry struggled his rookie year. Childers is definitely one of the best crew chiefs in the sport.

Can't figure how to get his homemade parts past tech. He has become ordinary maybe?

Right. Neither Chad Knaus nor Ray Evernham is going to make him a top 5 driver.
 
Total speculation, but I’d guess Rodney got into a tugging match with somebody at or close to the top. Maybe with Sparks, since they’ve handed the baton to him starting this weekend.

I'll give him credit he has some impressive showings in the RWR equipment
