So, you have a very fast car, who do you put in it? A big name driver like Kasey or Matt would cost you millions so do you go for experience or a young driver who would be happy to race for a fraction of the money.
thats the prevalent theory around here, makes sense. I'd love to see what Kurt Busch could do in that ride though, I think that team would be lethal.Whoever brings sponsor $$ with them. I believe they already mentioned previously that without sponsorship they will not run.
He can't be in bothChristopher Bell while also running a majority of Xfinity races for JGR.
I don't see too many people laughing. Kinda naive to think teams aren't doing anything or to think they need to do it all IMO. Some can, some do, factory support comes and goes. It takes it all from every direction for the most part. This whole driver having to find his own sponsorship thing is a joke. Most of these teams have sales staffs that are supposed to be constantly on the prowl for new sponsors .. it would be nice if some of them would step up their game and lock down their own sponsors for their own cars. It seems that if a driver doesn't bring the team a sponsorship deal these days they are at a real disadvantage. I'm sure a guy like Matt is like .. I'm a driver .. do your jobs!

If Toyota doesn't get Bell to Cup soon I feel like they'll lose him. Already feel like Larson is in Chips ear about him.
Kurt is already on a good team. Your statement is confusing.thats the prevalent theory around here, makes sense. I'd love to see what Kurt Busch could do in that ride though, I think that team would be lethal.

I gather teams don't have anyone in charge of procuring and maintaining sponsorship but instead just sit by the phone hoping it rings. It is a strange setup and one that is outdated.
I wonder what Patrick Perkins, the long time VP of marketing at Hendricks Motorsports does all day?
I heard he eats chicken wings and drinks mountain dew while painting his office weekly. Gotta love those sponsor benefitsCooks and eats bacon sandwiches
His staff fries the bacon.Cooks and eats bacon sandwiches

Nothing good about a team that Harvick drives for
I'm sure there's something at Lowe's that will remove the stains hahaWings are messy ........ always spatter the walls

Um yeah, not mention that he would be driving a Toyotathats the prevalent theory around here, makes sense. I'd love to see what Kurt Busch could do in that ride though, I think that team would be lethal.

Not really. what is so good about SHR racing this year? How many wins do they have this year compared to FRR/Gibbs? I think if you look at the numbers coampring the team's ( wins, top 5's, top 10's) it's not confusingK

Yeah, I think FRR would actually be an upgrade over SHR. Kurt has been MIA since that Daytona 500 win, and Jones is only 12 points behind him despite being a rookie on a team that didn't exist a year ago. I don't recall what kind of terms Kurt left FRR on the first time, I wonder if they'd have him back? Not really. what is so good about SHR racing this year? Not enough according to Kasey Kahne but more than the dude at SHR.
Yep if you don't bring big money with you ...you aren't getting a goid ride. I don't like the way that works, but it's reality these days.^ Welcome to the 21st century.
Pretty much , and that 500 win was fluke for the most part, he really lucked into that win if I am recalling correctly, I dont know whats going on at SHR, but I think they are still maybe feeling the effects of switching to Ford , just my guess. That is a good question how on the terms that he left FRR and is that door open.Yeah, I think FRR would actually be an upgrade over SHR. I didn't check the numbers but I also think SHR is running neck to neck with RCR for last place. Not really. what is so good about SHR racing this year?
