Boom, confetti.I heard Lowes was going to sponsor the cup and call it the -drum roll please.-"JJ cup"
They are not really frugal. They are just smart with their money and would rather spend it on upgrading equipment (they just became the second fastest 4g provider behind verizon not too long ago) than sponsoring a racing series. I've been a t-mobile costumer for 9 years now and their customer service and prices have always been really good.if t mobile / sprint deal goes thru ....prolly won't be any nascar series sponsorship after '16. ???
t mobile is frugal german company......we'll see.
Damn, that's a hell of a deal. There are choices at the link Bobby provided, but I use the LG Huawei Glory, Android 4.1. The phone cost $100, and it's your service plan. I put it on a $10 a month 50 minute plan, which the phone triples. 150 minutes talk, 150 texts and 150 MB data for $10. It all rolls over each month, so I end up going off the plan and using what I accrued for a couple of months. It's great not dealing with a contract.

i wonder if at&t buying directv had any effect on this merger
Damn, that's a hell of a deal.
It is certainly worth looking into. Thanks for the info.Standard stuff with Tracfone. If you don't use your phone a ton each month, you should check in to it. Upgrade your phone any damn time you want, and they now let you migrate your number and minutes to the new phone. I keep the old one as a backup. If something happens to my new phone, It's simple and cheap to reactivate. FedEx overnight is usually free, and they have nice phones for as little as $40. It's so nice being free from the contract BS, and the internet access is actually better than I had on my crappy Verizon phone. I maintain my phone and 2 for my kids for less than $30 a month. It used to cost me $80, and the phones were crap.

All of these cell carriers are only as good as the service they provide you. What's the best for me may not be the best for you. It's obvious the leaders in coverage but if they don't cover your area then they're no good to you.
As far as coverage at the races or any other sporting event goes..... Whenever you put that many customers in a centralized location, service degrades. We're sharing the bandwidth. If you camp at any of these races is obvious. The service is fine until the masses come to the venue. What is good is that all tracks are too provide Wi-Fi service by 2015 or so announced by Brian not all that long ago. That should be a bonus to everyone once they implement that. That is as long as fans take advantage of it.
They broke AT&T up into 10 phone companies and they've been merging back together like the T-1000 in Terminator 2.
Keep the Cup? Sprint's NASCARite CEO Dan Hesse out; analyst says new CEO Marcelo Claure's priority is "change approach to consumer strategy"
I like Dan Hesse. Saw him speak at CES one year.
sprint cup " sponsorship" is small potatoes w/ their problems.
poor product ! vs competition.
1 qtr profit in 5 -6 yrs ?
claure is big sports guy. .....brazil soccer team owner.
sprint's parent ....softbank .... vodafone div. .... is still big intl motorsports sponsor .
but will sprint stay in nascar ?
maybe we'll see nextel cup soon ?
joint banquet w/ indycar ! ha!
I can't believe he was the highest paid CEO of all the cell companies, and he's getting $40 million for getting fired. American stock holders are so stupid.
There are various technical/legal reasons that Fortune 500 CEOs are given massive severance packages, but you're right, it is stupid.I can't believe he was the highest paid CEO of all the cell companies, and he's getting $40 million for getting fired. American stock holders are so stupid.
