Sprint Unlimited Pre Race Thread

Came here just to whine about the same.

I hope this is only for practices. The way they did the running order is terrible. Takes way too much space and hides alot of what is going on.

I figured someone was going to end up using the entire side of the screen for information eventually. It still sucks though.

Fans decide where people start. What a joke.
Its just an exhibition race, calm down. Besides, a race fan of your caliber should know that your starting position at a plate track doesnt mean much. You can go from the pole to last in 2 laps and visa versa.

Why do you assume I'm upset? I just think its a joke. I'm indifferent to this whole deal. Won't even have the chance to watch it live most likely.

If you're not ok with that then tell your college professor with your top of the line education.

Still think Bobby Gerhart wins. All he knows how to do is win at Daytona and Talladega.

Gerhart is like the kid that stayed in high school just abit too long. lol

If it's like the plate package last year that might not be the case.

They added half of an inch to the rear spoilers so they were more racey in practice yesterday, especially towards the beginning. Easier to suck up and pass the car ahead, and more rear stability in traffic. I don't think it will be anywhere close to the bore the 500 was last year.

This is going to be a days worth of being in front of the TV. USA vs Russia in Olympic Hockey on now followed by a full day of racing. All the time in between will be spent doing taxes and shoveling snow. And then there's beer. Gotta throw that in there too. Maybe before doing taxes?

Paint Schemes for the Unlimited.

Fact: The 2nd starting position has produced the most Unlimited winners - 5.

Fact: Jeff Gordon will start his 21st consectutive Unlimited race - a record.

Fact: Only 7 cars started the 1981 Race.

Another staple in my house. DVR set. Thanks for the reminder.

No problem. I didn't mean to step on your toes or anything but didn't see anything posted so thought I'd lend a hand :)

We do have a NASCAR management class here, so I shall!

Yep, my exact day. Making Hot wings later on.

Why screw up a perfect day?

Not spoiled when I add alcohol. USA over Russia in hockey also helped this morning.

You sure do get an early start, but TUI ( taxing under the influence) sounds like the way to go. ;)

Missed the Hockey game. Sounds like that net call could restart the cold war.

I'll never grow weary of watching Chevrolets blow up :)

The day isn't over. There's still time for more Chevy's to blow up ;)

The magic of Chevrolet is they can start in the back and drive right past the Ford's. This is one race where slow and steady doesn't win the race...:D

I'm glad the season is starting. I stayed pretty busy with the spare room renovation in the off season, but I'm glad we now have racing :beerbang:

Howdy, ya'll.
New pit box technology. Must have dual baseball bat holders and a bigger ice cream coolers.
