Steven Wallace Award of the Week: Bristol

and that makes it okay to just wreck someone who didn't even wreck you?

I was not disputing whether Kyle was right or wrong. I was simply pointing out the difference in the two cases.

I've been glued to Hurricane Irene coverage, did Steven Wallace do anything to deserve nomination for the Steven Wallace Award of the Week?

I nominate ESPN for, once again, putting this race on ABC against football... then, instead of moving the race to ESPN2, saying they would "require" ABC networks to tell viewers where the race could be seen in their market.

Here I am in Waldorf, with power, deciding to watch the race and, because ESPN didn't just put the race on ABC and ESPN2, the only things on TV are Irene and some ****ty romance movies. I don't know how many more times ABC7 can tell us, but if people haven't prepared for the storm by now, they deserve the negative repercussions of whatever comes -- they've been calling for this all week. ABC7 should have hurricane coverage on, but if I want to watch the race, I should have the option. Should've been moved to ESPN2.

Andy....

Try this. Every morning when you get up, say this ten times. The glass is half full. :D

Race is on at my hotel and I'm staying at the cheap ass Hampton :D

At first, I was going to give it to Kyle Busch for his actions in the truck race. Then, I was going to give it to Tony Stewart's team for totally being out to lunch all weekend, but he's still somehow in the top 10.

But my nod goes to NASCAR for two things. One, for not knowing how to get cars lined up, especially lapped cars, on restarts. There were several occasions a car would be down a spot or two to another lapper on the same lap but would line up ahead of that car. Two, for their stupid way of monitoring the pit road speed "limit". A car should not be allowed to pass two or three cars coming out of the pits and it be called legal. Get rid of the timing lines and go to either radar or use the on-board telemetry to determine who's speeding at ALL times.

I agree with MRM regarding the timing lines on Pit Road. Jimmie-Chad has studied where those lines are and they choose a pit stall with that aspect in mind, many times to their distinct advantage.

It would be real easy to put a string of progressive strobe lights on top of the pit wall and have them tuned to the pit road speed. Whenever someone is in the pits, activate the strobe sequence and just watch who passes the progressive strobes.

I'm sticking with ESPN. Once again, they put the race on ABC instead of ESPN and, once again, fans are all over the internet complaining that they missed it because affiliates did not make alternate plans... and ESPN didn't follow through on alternate plans in other markets.

The one race that should be on ESPN is one of only three races on ABC... makes no sense.

The Entire RCR organization

Burton 15th?
Harvick 22nd?
Bowyer 26th?

WHAT happened to RCR's short track program?

And this is a team who HOPES to have two cars in The Chase????
Thank God there's only one short track in The Chase

If they do put two cars in the chase I'd put my money on Menard being the 2nd.

My vote goes to anyone that did or would stand in line @ Kyle Busch's hauler to get his wife's autograph this past weekend @ Bristol.

Currently if Stewart drops out of the Top 10 and Keslowski moves in...........Menards in as a WildCard.

If that scenario happens, the battle is then between Menard and Ragan for the WC spot.

Those guys in spots 11 thru 20 and without a win are going to have to go for broke over the next three races.

I expect Richmond to be a good one.

I'm thinking they weren't quite ready for 4 cars. I can't get over how bad they have been this season. Burton and Bowyer have been pretty much a non factor every race.

Every time they expand to four cars, the entire program goes to ****. But RC's gonna screw Harvick, Burton and Bowyer to make sure Menard, Coulter and TGJ have rides:mad:
