I was in my teens when learning of Sterling Moss and his great driving skills. He is arguably the best race car driver ever. His accomplishments and abilities were unmatched. Rest in peace, Stirling.
A great article in the New York Times about Stirling Moss has this quote from him in 1961:
"To race a car through a turn at maximum possible speed when there is a great lawn to all sides is difficult, but to race a car at maximum speed through a turn where there is a brick wall on one side and a precipice on the other - ah, that's an achievement !"
The guy was fearless behind the wheel and is a true legend in the world of motorsports.
When he was racing, he lived each day like it was his last, he has some stories. I remember him saying that he felt sorry for Lewis. He said Hamilton would have to stay after the race and answer question after questions. He said I didn't have to do that, I would go chasing after the girls.
