Talk About TEXAS

Now those last laps were like the 20 laps at the race at Nashville that we watched a couple of weeks ago. Clean racing and edge of the seat style. Congrats to Burton.

Congratulations to Jeff Burton, way to beat Matt. hehehe

Congrats to Jeff Burton and Chevorlet. Shut them Fords out this year. YEAH!!!

He sure did. With the lead he had he should have drove more conservative.

Did'ja ever notice how often Matt thinks he has a problem with his car near the end of a race?

Why couldn't Gordon keep his car off the wall in 4? Easily cost him the race.

Vickers got his wish of no late cautions since he had lost his clutch and wouldn't have been able to take the restart.

A big shout out goes to JPM. If he hadn't spun Stewart odds are Stewart wouldn't have been where he was for the 2nd spin allowing Kyle Busch to rear end Lil'E. Possibly costing Lil'E the race.

Lil'E finishing the race in the 5?? How many times has a driver taken over for the driver that wrecked them? That could be a good trivia question.

And, for those of you crying about Fox might I suggest muting the TV and listening to MRN. You'll need to pause the TV for a few seconds to sync up the action. I generally do this on the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. You hear so much more of the action on MRN than any of the TV broadcasts.

Martin shows why maybe not racing Briston and Martinsville was a mistake. He very well could have the points lead at this point.

And, congrats to Burton. He's now 8 points behind and looking like a strong contender. Course he did late last year and then faded down the stretch and like he said it's a long year.

How's that BP?

Dale Was in the 5 car? I was so ticked that i didn't noticed anything but Jeff dropping back..

Kyle got sick or something and had to go to the Care Center for fluids or something. And Lil'E got into the 5 as a substitute driver since his day was otherwise done.
All I can say is that is most strange. I can't think of that ever happening.
Oh, and for those watching Fox, Lil'E gave a much more detailed description of what happened with him breaking his car on MRN. His interview on Fox was a Cliff's Notes version.

Is it just me or is it starting to be obvious that Montoya's NASCAR education consists solely of watching old Dale Sr. tapes? I see all the bashing, but none of the skill.

Thanks for the info Bp. :)

Are you kidding me? He has plenty of skill especially as such a highly competitive series where cars have to be damn near perfect to bring home a top 20.

There's only 9 Fords, compared to 19 Chevrolets. You do the math.

That shows the owerns\drivers know which is the best car. Look at Mark Martin. He is doing much better in a Chevy. Had he drove the whole season he could possibly won his championship. Guess he still could if they can keep the owner points up while he takes his weeks off.

How many Fords were in the top 10 in '05? 60%. All Roush.
Why was the 4 car cap implemented? To stop Roush from monopolizing, as addmitted by Mike Helton.
Why was the Boss motor outlawed?
Why was the SOHC motor outlawed?
Why was the Ford Tunnel-port motor outlawed?
Huh?

Sounds like you are accusing NASCAR of doing just that.

Uhhh.................How come the Chevys needed a new engine this year?????

:) They don't... they are doing just fine with the one they have. Gordon ran the old one and led the most laps.:)
