Talladega Cup Race - Fall Edition

Did you see all those people sticking their arms through the fence at track's edge between 3 &4?! Pretty foolish!

see the wings didn't cause the cars to flips

Harvick, Burton and Junior used up their stuff too early. They got all banged up while Gordon and Johnson laid back and had clean race cars at the end. Harvick was very lucky to come out of it as well as he did.Bet they think about hanging back next time.

I hear the fat lady gargling.... And that fat lady is Denny's grandmother. :beerbang:

I bet the race would have be Kevin's had it finished under green. I don't like a caution win.

They have the loop system. I think the protocol should be that it goes back to the last loop crossed under green. Obviously the whole field won't have crossed one loop, but if they could use one loop for one section of the field, another loop for the next section, ect.

I saw run to the line on the last lap as long as the crash takes place after the start finish line.

Just listening to some of the post race driver comments, pretty interesting. Hamlin says he was coming to the front with the 5 car pushing him , but Mark suddenly stopped pushing , leaving him out to dry. Jimmy says ,late in the race , he was coming to the front ,but when he tried to pass the 11 car , Hamlin threw a hugh block that nearly wrecked him. Sounds like the racing is getting a little intense.

I loved the alst restart when everyone left the 48 out to dry, unfortunetly the big one didn't happen then when he was in the middle 4 wide.

Cars to R&D Center are 33 and 7. Engines to R&D Center 33, 29, 7 & 97.

Post race press conference blurb.....

Harvick, ``no offense to him (Johnson), but somebody else needs to win?" Johnson: ``Says who?" Harvick ``For the good of the sport .... "

Crowd stats.....

Estimated Talladega attendance: 110,000. Last yr: 127,500 Grandstand cap: 131,866

No, Ambrose called that wreck when he overreacted.

Seriously andy, from claiming Kyle busch as a "driving god" to a driver who's at fault no matter what, all within a few short months, has to be your biggest swing to date.

Yeah VaD,......you called that one right!

I was disappointed Harvick didn't get the sweep, I was really pullin for him I think even more than Dale Jr. Harvick had a nice azz paint job, & after all that crew went through to fix that thing that car should have won. If they had gone to the checkers uninterrupted, I think he'd have gotten'em. RCR got the victory anyway as a team, messed up it took NASCAR sooo long to figure it out. The current rules package for plate racing sucks, i'm soooo tired of yellow lines and side by side drafting trains. Get rid of the yellow line & open the R-Plate, not all the way but damn at least let them get to 200...

They were going 200 top recorded speed they showed was 205

They did hit 205-206 in the draft at times, plenty fast enough, and they are able to move now instead of getting stuck, I say leave it be.
