Texas bone head

The 78's presentation always looks fine to me. Penske isn't the only outfit that polishes the transporter's wheels.

Mr. Visser will surely take care of Pearn's manner of dress if it becomes an issue. It won't.

Well at least now with outside sponsors on it they might have to polish the car once in awhile. All of those years of running that hideous flat black that looked like the they stole the car out of the body shop before it was finished are finally ending. :)

48 team for showing up with junk haha and knaus not knowing how to actually strategize from that position....when someone looks like an amazing crew chief when you have the best equipment but a goon when you dont haha
I think I have to go with this. A good crew chief can strategize in any situation. Kyle Busch made it back on the lead lap from further back with a damaged race car and Brad had a flat tire on lap 1 and finished 5th.

I sure agree with the FJ. Roger Penske runs one of the most professional and winning teams in motor sports . You don't win 15 Indy 500s plus Indy car championships ,Sports car championships etc without pride and attention to every detail. Whole lot of owners should study his methods . I think Pearn and MTJ have done wonders this year but the team boss shouldn't look like he slept under the hauler

He's a little hard for me to take like that, even if I weren't a Colts fan. Of course I grew up in an era when NFL coaches wore suits. I love hoodies, but there's a time and a place for everything.
I've always disliked suits at sporting events. It just looks overdressed to me. I think it looks really silly in the booth; who puts on a suit to watch sports?

I associate wearing a suit with being uncomfortable and with being in the work place. Seeing one reminds me of the things I went to forget, sucking out some of fun for me. Just me, I guess.

I think crew chiefs wearing firesuits is an odd "tradition" or whatever. Maybe a polo would be nicer but a crew chief wearing a t shirt makes more sense to me than a full on firesuit.

Then again I don't have too much knowledge on the subject, I'd love to know why they wear them in the first place.

Sponsor commitments, may have to go over the wall, to be a part of the team.

could be to spread the pain equally. Those fire suits have to be hotter than hell I bet. I would guess the rule goes back before they had the mammoth multistory pit carts and the crew chief was part of the pit crew that worked on the car.

What was the temperature in Ft. Worth on Sunday?

Crew chiefs wear fire suits because occasionally they go over the wall. Well, they did before the 5-minute damage clock.

Is this what the fuss is about? Geez, I thought maybe he'd shopped at the gypsy tables and picked up some XXL 'Big Johnson' and 'John Boy and Billy' gear.
No.

The girls are fussing because he had the audacity to appear in public wearing a T-shirt. I posted the pic because it isn't always 100 in the shade.

Wow, the amount of caring that Cole wears a tee shirt most of the time, who the hell cares, all that anyone should care about is him doing what he is paid to be doing, and I would say he is doing a damn good job at that.
