The 150's thread

So I'm sitting here @ work trying to follow the race on Sirius. Someone give me the spin by spin account of the #8. I need something to pick up my day.

PS. I may be glad I'm taping this. I'd hate to think that the 8 spun and I didn't get a chance to see it.

What's your access? I went to the nascar website and pulled up Nascar radio and Racecast, and I've got that going.

Mikey either tried to slip between the 8 and 20, or being on older tires slid up the track got into the corner of the 8 sent him spinning to the grass. Not much damage, on the lead lap still

Mikey its looking like he's gonna get it..dangg

We're firewalled so most videos and radio broadcasts are blocked. Radio reception was pretty bad so I got a Sirius radio and it works great. But, between actually trying to get some work done and this freaking phone ringing its just hard to follow all the action.

Yep, got in. In a car that has not seen the track. Oh and David Reutimann is in too. That means all three MWR cars are in the Daytona 500. How you like them apples?

Mikey slid up into Jr, I don,t think he was actually trying to go there. At any rate, congrats Mikey you can breath easy now.

So who didn't make it? Can't get Speed and i haven't found the results of who made it and who didn't.

Are you talking about who won the second dual? then hell yes i did like :D :D

Great Racing all day! The first duel set a record for most coutions with 7. but over all i enjoyed them. My man JB looks pretty good. From the back to 2nd in two laps :)

No, not yet..but i dont doubt they will come up with something, utterly ridiculous

He is in the race anyway. did you see how he shot around Busch? That car clearly had nitrous oxide on it :D

why is it ridiculous......If they did something wrong, they need to be treated like EVERYONE else. The shoe is on the other foot now

Well guess what?

Will the Yates cars get to keep the pole since THIS happend.

NASCAR seizes illegal parts from Yates team's cars, Blaney's Toyota
By JIM UTTER / The Charlotte Observer

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NASCAR inspectors have added to their collection of illegal parts during inspection.

Among the new items added for display at the NASCAR hauler are unapproved windshield braces have been confiscated from the No. 22 Toyota driven by Dave Blaney.

Unapproved probe heaters utilized in car’s transmissions were found on both Robert Yates Racing cars, the Nos. 38 and 88, driven by David Gilliland and Ricky Rudd, respectively.

I think Nascar is been alittle too trigger happy with these penalties and whatever.

I agree with you on the probe, but mabey the windshield brace is a safety issue.

Post Inspection Problem with #24? SPEED's Victory Lane show is reporting NASCAR is looking hard at the #24-Jeff Gordon car that won the 2nd Gatorade Duel 150 race, supposedly something with the templates.(2-15-2006)

The #24 disqualified?

Reported on Speed the #24 is having a hard time passing post race inspection due to being too low. John Darby has crawled underneath the car a few times and it may be a shock mount that is the culprit.

They just said something about it being too low but not why. Stay tuned film at 11.

Whatever it is, it was big enough for John Darby to get under the car with a flashlight.

reck, I doubt that the Yates cars will lose their starting positions. Probably fines and points will be the extent. Of course, with the way NASCAR is really cracking down, anything is possible.

I can understand a team being in troble if they set the car up to low and get busted, but if something brakes they can not help that.

Yes Patrick i did, something about joining his site or what have you.

Anyways..Jeff gordon has been penalized..42nd on sunday..nothing more

SO

It doesnt matter how far back they put him #24 will be able to catch back up easy GO #24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mods will deal with 'em - the spammer that is. I doubt there's anything they can do about #24 except for some refereeing :)

What the hell do you call joining a board and sending unsolicited PM's to a sign up site?
