Who do you think is going to be sitting at the head table at this years NASCAR banquet?

Brad Keselowski is my pick.

I think this guy has his head screwed on straight and is ready to do business. He's already got the head games thing going on with his remark about the HMS organization. I'm not saying that really means anything at all but it tells me that he's ready to go.

Who's your pick?

I was going to do this in the Poll section but I could not figure out how to make 12 responses available.

I like Brad but I think some of the comments he made before the chase started will come back to bite him in the backside.

I would pick Big Daddy but it sure looks like NASCAR picked a fine time to speak out about the rear ends, I mean at the start of the chase.

I am going with Clint Boyer. Take that RCR...

I'm thing that Denny is going to implode. I don't know why. I just have that feeling. I think that if he doesn't have a real good start to this Chase he'll fade away quickly.

I would like to see Brad win, but I'm not Penske can step it up enough because they never do. It was a huge source of frustration fro Kurt Busch for years. Brads comments about the shifting rear ends got him exactly what he wanted, the final OK from NASCAR. Now the Penske cars are finally using the same technique, and that will even the playing field a little.

I think this chase will again be decided by wins, and that may give Kasey Kahne the edge. Kasey has a little of the checkers or wreckers attitude, so that may open the dor to a consistant driver. Then there's Talladega, where Brad does real well. If he and Blaney team up again, that race could be the deciding factor this year. To be a real threat, the #2 needs to really step up their program on a few of those chase tracks, namely Dover, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead.

I'll dream the dream and go with Brad. Once he gets his first, he and the 2 team will be tough to beat.

If the swinging rear end change dont bite the 24 in the butt I think the cup is his, be something if the miracle comeback happens two years in a row. :D

Word is coming out that the 24 had trouble back at the tech center. nascar to announce penalties on Tuesday. this bs brought to you by one bored babysitter.

Wow, from wildcard to Champ. That would be something. Personally I can't see that happening. That's about as likely as someone rattling off 5 wins in the Chase to take the title.

Yeah, almost as improbable as someone tying for the championship one year, then going winless and finishing 14th the next. ;)

I was waiting for this from you Mr. rumor monger maker upper, you are going to cause a couple of our other members to commit sideways. :D

Where's the Greg Biffle love out there? The guy gets no respect. You lead the standings for a good part of the season only to lose that lead and then gain it back again. Then, everyone forgets about you.

Oh, the hypocrisy! ;)

For something like this I couldn't vote for what I wanted to happen, I might do that for a race but the championship it's no way I could ever do that.

There's 3 guys I could cheer loudly for. Jr, Jeff or Brad.

I really want to see a 1st time champ, but JG getting one more before he retires would be great.

nevermind JG is no long my dark horse. he is going to win the damn thing!!

Gordon bringing back the stache: #24-Jeff Gordon thinks he can rekindle some of his old on-track magic that made him a four-time champion when the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. Why not? He's already taken one step to turn back the clock. Gordon announced Sunday that he would bring back the absurdly comical mustache he donned in the early 1990s as a young 21-year-old rookie in the NASCAR's premier series. On Twitter, Gordon's account said: "So as many of u may have heard, I made a statement that if we made the Chase I wud bring back the stache. I'm a man of my word."(USA Today)(9-10-2012)

Now if only he can bring back the mullet nobody can touch him!!

There has only been two Fords win a cup since Alan in 92. You got to play the odds man...

That is why I am rooting for Truex and Boyer. There have only been four different cup winners since Gordon won it in 01. Two of those four own eight trophies between them.

That's my pick also. Since cheating don't mean much to Nascar anymore, I believe Brad and crew could add a few HP to the car plus a few parts unapproved by Nasty, have at least 6 octane boost tablets to flip in gas tank when needed, Penske write a hefty check to Helton, but seriously, I think that's what it would take to beat a Hendrick car.

You're absolutely right. I think Penske needs to find another way, because they'll never beat hendrick at his own game.

Denny Hamlin at this point is the odds on favorite but he can't beat himself like he did in 2010. You never really know what the #14 is gonna do(see last year) but they gotta be more consistent. You can't battle for the win one week and run 28th two laps down the next.
