The "3" is back in Victory Lane!

Let's be fair, when Almirola won at Daytona, people focused on Richard Petty and when Blaney wins, we'll hear as repeatedly about the number's history (and David Pearson in particular).

We also watched a man die in an RCR #3, I expect NASCAR to talk about him when an RCR #3 is back in victory lane. NASCAR honors its history and Dale Earnhardt is a 7 time champion and a big part of its history.

Whew and as with the 43 the 3 will fade into obscurity just as quickly as their fluke wins. When Stenhouse won all they could talk about is Roush history and how Roush is back. They talked about RCR being back? Dillion is in 21st place. Way too soon for any of either of that. Stenhouse at least has a legitimate win under his belt and is 13th. I would much rather see Ty win in the step half sister car. But he had better not do a cartwheel if he wins. His Bros belly flop is more than enough for both of them

The head first slide victory slide is grade A dumbass. Was hoping the smoking hawt gf would have housebroked him better by now.

Time to tear up the grass between the pits and track, and lay down the unforgiving asphalt to teach him.

I don't care for the belly slide. It is in the same category as the snow angels. :rolleyes: But I won't hold that against him.

Checking the books, the 43 won two with Bobby Hamilton and one with John Andretti.

Andretti's win at Martinsville was downright amazing. Came from a lap down and looked like Superman in the closing laps. Andretti overachieved in that car, even in 2001 when they switched to Dodge and completely fell apart.

I swear this forum is full of Red Formans. Guy just won his first race and it was a marquee race at that. Let the kid have some fun and celebrate with his team.

I never really thought about that, but you're right. Bill Davis switched to Dodge and the team didn't miss a beat. Sabco switched to Dodge and instantly became championship contenders (although Ganassi likely played a large role). Evernham started from scratch and ran really well for Dodge. But Petty, they seemed to take a huge step back and never really recovered.

Andretti really was an underrated driver. He even did a better job in that 43 Dodge than Bobby Labonte did IMO.

I was there! My one race at Martinsville.

To the fuel mileage win haters..

A bit late, I know.. Just want to throw this out there.. and my logic is undeniable.

No one has anything to complain about.. Austin Dillon was the fastest car in the Coke 600

"What?! Blasphemy! Lies! Kyle Busch! Martin Truex! I hate fuel mileage races!!"

Speed=Time/Distance.. Boom!

Austin was the fastest car. Physics :D
