The 52nd Daytona 500!!!!

Meh, I don't blame Nascar, I blame whoever is in charge of the upkeep of this track. Daytona probably needs to be repaved.
 
I would mark out to see Kyle Busch driving a pink car covered in kittens, rainbows, bunnys, and ponys with a giant kitten on his helment. Anyone who says they wouldnt is lying.

It does. It hasn't been paved since the summer of '78. I think the Fox guys said the track is scheduled to be repaved next year. I think they need to move that up a year.
 
Last May Daytona speedway was flooded and had water spilling over the infield walls. That had to mess with the track surface in a big way. They have had so much rain down there this year I am just happy they have blue skies today.

While in the delay, I've been doing some silly research. Of the 43 drivers out there, there are only 10 who come from the south, where NASCAR supposedly was started. Broken down by states, there are three from Virginia, two from Georgia, North Carolina and Florida and one from Kentucky. If you want, you can throw in one from Texas, but though that is in the "south", it isn't the area of the bootleggers that are known in NASCAR country. Shows how the sport has gone way beyond the south. And it's been 11 years since a southern boy has won the championship. The last one was Dale Jarrett and before that was the late Dale Earnhardt.

Make that two from Texas with Robert Richardson as well as Bobby Labonte
 
The 3 talking heads are going to have blisters on their lips when this race is over.From all the flappin they been doin.

Have they not run enough commercials with all the red flags? They have made enough revenue for today
