Hi Lin I use to watch them years back now I can't take it any more the drivers are terrible teleprompter readers.

Yeah that was a very cool launch. The whole craft and stuff was just awesome looking....

theres a video on this link very cool............would love to hear that roar of thrustt power close by....not to close but close enough.

Not real cold, but more normal for our winter temps. highs 60s and 50s, lows 30s adn 40s.

My Dad use to wake me up at 4am for all of the first flights into space, The Mercury, Apollo ,Jemini's all of them. I remember going in the back yard the first time the Sudnick Craft flew over you could see it with the naked eye....

It does feel weird being here when NFP is still open … I haven't made a post there since I joined here … but on the flip side this place is cool with plenty of members just like NFP used to have and I don't understand why so many members left NFP but they did … I haven't come across a member here yet who did not treat us like part of their forum family just like we did back at NFP with the newbies … I like this place and their peeps very much … I may only go back for the last night free-for-all …

I have gone back and lurked to see if Dan has said anything in regards to his situation and seen none … Have a good evening Naz …

We understand how hard it is for an established group to find a new home and forum family that they like and want to stay. Notwithstanding trying to get used to a new forums tech and way of doing things. We hope that all of you have found a new home. Just before Daytona we'll swing into our routine of regular fantasy games and regular racing and pre race threads. You guy's stick around and enjoy.

HI there Numb..........Yeah I dunno why peeps left either its a great place we are lucky we found another great place to hang out. I'm still posten at NFP and will till it goes off line. I been 11 years with Dan was there at the beginning and will be there at the end...Yes I go back and check that too but knowen Dan like I do I doubt we will hear anything about whats going on with him I do know for sure is is sick.....

Im too young for those--42. But I remember watching pretty much each shuttle launch

I think we will … most of us have been through 3 different forums together and some 4 including this one … I'm looking toward as I'm sure others to the start of the 2015 season and what you all have to get things rolling … :cheers:

Yeppers you are i'm 63 it was fascinating watchen them go up into space . The day they landed on the moon was my b-day so won't fer get that year 1969 landed on the moon and graduated high school.......

We call those SNs, screen names, that's why I was confused. Learn something new every day, they say. :)
It's an acronym of my family's names. I've used it for a few business deals over the years as well as a SN. I discovered several years ago that it means jewel in an obscure Hindi dialect. Not very interesting but I like it. :)

I know how you feel Naz with all the time you have known Dan … I will keep lurking back and I will definately be back for the last day free-for-all … no moderation, no holds barred will be the best way to send Dan's forum off … and maybe by the then he will let us know what is happening with him …

You can still see the ISS going over....that's always cool..B)
