This is what I was think. Nail on the head really. Don't know if it's true or not. But it seems like it's something worth discussing.I could easily see Brad leaving for HMS and I think it would be as good a fit as you could hope for after losing someone like Jimmie. Brad seems a little more on edge here lately and I have a feeling he did not like them splitting he and Wolfe. Not to mention they paired him with the worst of the 3 CC's at Penske. It almost came off as a move to invest more in their young guys (the future). Brad's a smart guy, if he senses that's what's going on then I could absolutely see him leaving. Especially if he goes on to have an underwhelming season onder Bullins.
Also, it would give HMS that one more experienced drivers, and a champion in their stable which could help that organization.
It's been over 25 years since HMS didn't have a champion in their stable, assuming Chase doesn't win it all this year, which, tbh, I don't think he's made that jump yet.
