Well Andy...I'm sure "no little girl" fan, I've cheered for Kasey since he took over the 9 ride from Elliot, so I'd say there is quite the diversity of fans when it comes to a driver fan base.

Fan of over 30 years here. I could care less about the chase. I still follow the classic standings on Jayski. That is the real champion as far as I'm concerned.

As far as that goes, you could make up your own point system and look at anyone as the real winner. In the end, it really doesn't matter. The NASCAR winner gets the trophy, the check and the accolades.

Agreed. This whole thing about The Chase being phoney etc. is just childish. NASCAR is the sanctioning body of the sport & they make the rules. So far all the teams and drivers have agreed to the rules. If you don't like the rules, then simply stop giving NASCAR money.

However, you can't change the rules just because you don't like the outcome of the rules.
