There's nothing wrong with being ignorant. It's willfully remaining that way that's questionable at best.
Stuff some calories in all involved.I don't know who decided to burn an hour B.S ing before the race.Way past ready.
There is ignorant which is lack of information and there is stupid. You figure out which is which.Hopefully tonight's episode of NOVA explores the origins of the word "ignorant."

6:20pmWhen does this go green?
I quit watching NOVA due to concerns about it being a front for the government to use AVON reps as a front to do surveillance inside the homes of the ignorant. That's the 'Way with Words' podcast.
Thank you. You are forgiven.BTW I'd like to take a moment to apologize to @BarneyB1 for getting chippy earlier.
Has to be since it's a circle track.
That's where the traction is right now.And I made a JOKE. Your comment was out of line.
This is just the first of many times that someone will be an ass to someone. Most of us will be the ass at some point in the season, but won't think what we're doing is bad because its us doing it, and will have some sort of excuse why in that instant its okay, unlike when someone else does it.

It's cold! Whaaaa! And Bobby keeps teasing us.Just did a fast run-through of the LCQ. Last laps were fun to watch.
Lookin thru this thread, some already are sharping their knives on each other.
Or maybe you’ve had a rough off season.

Brown is def chocolate thoughI’m not one to judge anyone for not being an expert on snow. But for the ones are not I would like to give you a friendly tip. You can eat the snow but always remember the yellowish colored snow is not lemonade flavored.![]()
What are they complaining about?Waking up to NASCAR Radio.....fans bitching about The Clash. Why? Will it ever end? No.
They need to redirect their anger towards the TV Network, they're the ones calling the shots.Waking up to NASCAR Radio.....fans bitching about The Clash. Why? Will it ever end? No.
That requires deductive reasoning. Most of them just feed off each other. They are going to whine no matter what. First race of the season, the weather, officiating, coverage, fertile field for the complainers to play the blame game. Why they watch at all is always the puzzle. Mental illness? They need to redirect their anger towards the TV Network, they're the ones calling the shots.

Just because he's Jeremy Mayfield doesn't mean he's automatically wrong.J Mayfield :
I’m going to say what a lot of people are thinking but are too scared to voice: Last night was a bad look for the sport.![]()
These teams spend tens of millions of dollars on engineering, wind tunnel time, and elite technology. Then we take the "top tier" of racing and put them in a stadium to crawl around at 70mph in the sleet and rain?![]()
It didn’t look like the best drivers in the world. It looked like guys who had no clue how to drive, sliding around in slow motion. When I was out there, the goal was to showcase speed and horsepower. Now, we’re starting the season with million-dollar bumper cars in a parking lot. It makes the "elite" level of our sport look amateur.
Is this really how we want to kick off a season? By throwing away all that engineering just for a "spectacle"?
I’m curious—do you want to see the best of the best actually racing, or do you just want to see million-dollar cars bumping into each other at highway speeds? Let me have it in the comments.![]()

He had some words of wisdom and appreciation for the enthusiasm from the fans at Bowman Gray and was in good spirits when he was interviewed. Optimistic for the coming season.Suarez competing the whole second half and finishing a solid 4th was a pleasant surprise. Maybe things will be a bit better with his new team than expected.
Hoping for the best for him.
But I’ll try to not read too much into last nights freak of a race.
I agree that Bowman Gray isn't a great fit for Cup cars. I'm thinking you need a minimum of 3/8ths of a mile with some banking, or a 1/2 mile for a flat track.J Mayfield :

I thought it was fine. I truly did. Kind of what I expected. WTF did all of these whiners think was going to happen? .....and if the drivers don't like it GTFO.It's not just the fans, it's the teams too. Race control lost control of the race.
