The Martinsville Night Race

The best part about a Martinsville Speedway Hot Dog is it means you're at Martinsville Speedway.

I love this place with all my heart. This race, the NASCAR Late Model fall classic, is my Christmas.
Me too. It's just like home. I can't wait to get there tomorrow. I've never been to the late model race. I doubt I'll sleep tonight.

I'm in Eden, nc, 20 min away. Be there tomorrow . how many cars you think are there??

You think they wil have an entry list available? ?

Never fails that you are shocked someone doesn't like Martinsville. Quite the opposite for me as most the real people I watch races with also hate the track.
I really appreciate the fact that everyone likes different things and different tracks.... different manufacturers and different drivers.... that's what makes everything interesting.... especially these forums.... a great mix of folks...... this one is a great forum with very informative folks....

I am like you...... have never been a short track fan.....and never cared for flat tracks.... I always liked a lot of speed.... I know I am in the minority here but my favorite tracks are Daytona and 'Dega...... my favorite used to be Atlanta before it was reconfigured..... but.... I still like it.... Charlotte also......

Everyone to themselves I always say.... Different strokes for different folks..........

Shame this race is not on TV, I cant do the whole listen to audio only race broadcast , why I dont really care for the series that is running( I dont even know what series it is to be honest), would love to watch a night race a Martinsville.

While I respect the tracks history its never been a favorite of mine. In fact 2nd least favorite track behind New Hampshire. Just too flat and slow for my taste.
Martinsville is an acquired taste. Early on (80's) in my Nascar fandom, Martinsville was a race I wouldn't bother with.
Then somewhere in the late 90's early 2000's it dawned on me ,this is Bristol without the banking, huh, I think I like.
Then....... here came the close finishes , the regular chrome horns, the "evening up" on grudges ,and the rest of the
fun! Its now a race I really look forward to, especially after a long diet of cookie cutters.

I eat at least 20 Martinsville Hot Dogs a year because I love this place.
How long have you had the "Home Tracks" gig? I have seen plenty of your stuff at the other sites.

It really is amazing how legendary those hotdogs have become.

Are the Martinsville Hot dogs really that good? I've always wondered ha ha

I luv this track but man @AndyMarquisLive, that's excessive. Two on race day is my norm.

At Martinsville, they're awesome! That's only because you are there eating one. Anywhere else, they'd be nothing special.

It's kinda like even the beer tastes better at Martinsville. :D

The coolest thing about Martinsville is that it gives fans EVERYTHNG. Technique is required for a fast lap, and the cars are so close, it blows my mind how somebody like JJ or Hamlin are so good so consistently. The racing is side-by-side. Bumpers enter the equation. Although I scoff at the "good racing" stuff, I cannot, would not, will not argue that Martinsville produces good--no great--racing. Enjoy @AndyMarquisLive. Love your passion for that place.

Last time i saw a late model race there dale jr was in a white mom and pops car.... Spunout atleast 4 times....

The best part is I can get to Martinsville in less than an hour. Best race I've seen all year was at Martinsville. They definitely need more short tracks.
