The on-track product shall not be criticized

So let me see if i have this straight, the drivers have to tow nascars line that the racing is the best ever, even if fans are of the opinion that they dislike certain aspects of it? How and why does this make sense other then to over inflate Brians already overinflated opinion of himself?

Tyrants are too weak to abide honest critics . Brownnosing required.

This guy is going to be the end of NASCAR.

In reading that article you just feel like doomday is at the next corner.

Oh pish-posh, everyone's been claiming that NASCAR is doomed ever since Bill France Sr. started the organization.

What Brian France had to say is really no different than just about any other major sport. We've see players from the NFL, NBA, & MLB fined in the past for speaking out about their sport. It doesn't make any more sense for NASCAR to tolerate it more then any other sport IMO.

Personally I don't look at this any different than if I owned a business and my own employees were trashing a product that we produced. I wouldn't sit back and let that happen. I don't think anyone else on here would either.

Seriously, **** this guy. Soon there will be no negative criticism anyway, cuz no one will be watching because of little france and his terrible leadership.

Well I think there needs to be feedback from the employees and customers to the guy in charge. It seems like Brian France wants nothing more than yes men.

That's completely different than a driver going off on a rant about something. That's not productive. Going in to talk with those in charge would be. Again no different than if you think of any other business.

What I think is kind of funny about this story is that there is nothing new here. All of this talk about this kind of thing not being tolerated was in the news long ago. Writers are board and are writing the same ol', same ol' again. Each and every year Brian France is on Eli's show at the start of a new year, fielding questions from the fans and Eli.

A question I'd like to ask Brian France is when should I be expecting my Toyota Camry with the same specs that Kyle Busch drives in the Sprint Cup? :D I mean this is stock car racing, so c'mon, put those beast on the showroom floor!

These cars haven't been stock for a long, long time. It might be time to move on. I'm just sayin.

Besides, Hamlin's was a lot better anyhow. To heck with Kyle's.

True, I'd just like a chance to mess with Brian. :D
I was going to post a link to the show yesterday so you all could call in if you'd like but I figured nobody would anyhow.

He'll be on Moody's show in a couple weeks. You'll have a chance then. Queue the Moody hate!

OH, you'll def. have to make a post reminding us of this! Post time and phone numbers! :D :D

I was referring more to the last part of the article.

Where he talked about shortening races on on per-basis kind of way.

That's like a commissioner saying, hey today we're going to play just the half of a game, so lets do that this week, but next week, we'll be playing the full game.

Trust me, if you really want to understand what was said listen to the link that I provided earlier. His response indicated nothing like what you understood from that article.

Yeah, but drivers aren't NASCAR's employees. Just because you have the only game in town doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.

If you truly think that them voicing opinions in opposition to the sport is a good thing for the sport than I'm more than happy to agree to disagree.

@Charlie Spencer Does have a point. NASCAR drivers are independent contractors under the NASCAR employment structure. The only thing NASCAR supplies is the officiating.

With limited exceptions for national security, I don't think any institution is immune from public criticism, especially from those directly affected. But I'll agree with your agreeing to disagree.

Anyone that was at the Phoenix race where Denny put his foot in his mouth could plainly see that passing was next to impossible, it was nice of Denny to tell us why though

Yea, but when was the last time Kyle Busch was critical of anything Brian France has done? Dale Sr. wouldn't give a **** about fines or points if he felt like Bill France was taking the sport in the wrong direction.

Dale Sr. would also be popular enough that France would have to pay attention.

To be fair too, if someone like Jeff Gordon slammed the product, France would have to listen. We just need vets with enough balls to stand up.

Agreed 100%

Im not so sure alot of the drivers even care about the system. All they are hyperfocused on is their ontrack performance.

I was just about to post this video. NASCAR wouldn't have had the balls to tell Dale Earnhardt what not to say.

Only reason would be because of how his fans would react.

At this point NASCAR doesn't give a ****t if you're god himself. They will put you in your place regardless.

NASCAR stands on its own, no longer needing a real voice. Sure they'd consider what you have to say but they're still going to do what they do. They're not as dependent on driver success as they once were.

I find it comical that some people choose to believe that Brian France is not doing anything that his predecessor wasn't doing.

Just look at the revolving doors of the NASCAR title sponsorship since the son took office. By my count that's now 4 big name sponsoriship that have come and walked away from NASCAR in a 10 year period.

That's not a record I'd want if I was head chief.

I wonder if these sponsors have a say in the matter about how the points are awarded and such.
