Thats the problem abooja Im not mad about you posting about your side of the story but when you or anyone else post something saying " smack look at this it should change your mind" it anoys me because Im not against you. My personal opinion is people should be able to have guns but they need to be stricter about them more gun laws need to be setup and people should be more educated about them. IT shouldnt be as easy to get a gun as it is.

I'm just defending my own position. How does that make me ignorant? And how is it that you can't understand someone (like me) taking offense at that word?

P.S. Sorry, Kat, that this thread turned into what it did. I, for one, enjoy a good bit of intelligent debate on important issues. I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing some of the more unpleasant facts of modern life. I didn't mean to do it in your thread, though. My apologies...

As for terrorism we need to strengthen home security alot more then it is, when I came back from canada the border patrol gaurd asked 2 questions and let us go that was it didn't check anything. Two of the guys that was on the planes on the 9/11 attackes were on a watch list, but once again the fbi and cia screwed up with comunicating with each other and they was going to pilot schools learning how to fly plans in the usa.

Abooja All im getting at basically is with just about every problem we have its not a yes or no awnser alot more thinking needs to go into these problems. The number one killer in car acidents is drunk drivers and it hasnt changed very much, even though everyone knows its wrong.Drugs are illegal but yet alot of people still do them.Alot of money goes into the entertainment business to get kids to not bully on other kids yet, that hasnt changed much either. Some kids pretend to be sick so they dont have to go to school and be picked on.THeres 3,000 hate crimes a year on average in the usa still, alot of people know thats wrong but it still goes on not to mension with the freedom of speech they get to advertise on the net and recruit people with problems looking for an excuse.theres hundreds of missing people every year that there bodys are never found and they have no proof of murder or proof of anything really on what happened to them.
 
Kat, I think it is Forsythe, Ga. It has been a few years ago when I heard it.
 
If this is true,than this country is in bad shape.I think they're ploting other things amoungst us.We should be aware of this I don't think that guns are the problem.You can use anything as a weapon; a pen,your hands, rope, herbs,germs, etc. Just something to think about.
 
This country is in BIG trouble. We are on the edge and are about to fall. I would not be at all surprised if another 911 rolls arounds. There are just too many ways to do terror and not enough to prevent it.
