This guy was definitely a different breed of human. Nobody I know of did anything close to his crazy stunts. If you have some extra time, I suggest watching the movie about his life. Last year I stood on the approach ramp (it's still there) where he attempted to jump the Snake River. It was hard to believe he thought he had any chance to make this jump.
