Travis Kvapil arrested for assault on female and false imprisonment

If it's really serious and not part fabrication or get even time, I don't think he has enough stroke or skills to pull through this and stay in Nascar.

She should have an affair with Kyle and get a win of her own.

The "after an investigation" part has me leaning toward this being a minor incident blown way out of proportion. I hope that's all it was. If she was bruised, they would have hauled his ass away on the spot.

Actually, arrests in domestic violence cases are very rare and only happen in extreme cases.
 
All it takes in NY is an accusation and a little hysteria. All a woman need do is convince the police that she is really afraid for her life, a sworn complaint to that affect, and you're likely spending a night or 2 in jail until a judge can decide things.

There's even an organization called VIBes that teaches a woman tricks like 'make the call to police on a Friday night, and he'll have to spend the weekend in jail'. That gives the woman time to clean out the house and bank accounts.

You can bet Travis is fully aware this morning.

That's a lie. That's not remotely true and you know it. The majority of domestic abuse accusations are lies and the charges are dropped. False accusations are actually the majority of abuse accusations.

Sounds vague, I've seen enough episodes of COPS to imagine different scenarios where Kvapil may have gotten the short end of the stick. I'll wait to pass judgement. It don't look too good though.

That sounds reasonable. I think I'll do the same.

Too each their own, but in my opinion making light of domestic abuse is in very poor taste.
 
I agree with 17D500. Too many posts making light of the situation. I also will wait to get more facts.

However, Andy is factually correct in his statement.
 
Wow, who knows what happened but if its as bad as they are making it then screw him. Its funny though how they said he had a victory...he's never even won.

On what planet? Here on earth, (in L.A.) if someone has a mark on them and they claim it was from their spouse somebody goes for a ride. It doesn't have to be a bruise and it doesn't have to be blood. It could be a scratch or a red area from being grabbed. If you aggressively put your hands on someone and there is the least bit of physical evidence you get a free trip to the pokey.
 
I was once married to a crazy wife. I can see how this sort of thing could not be his fault. I also think being a nascar driver and all the things that go along with it might even lead to some poor choices in spouses.

Perhaps that explains the false imprisonment charge. He grabbed her by the arm and held her against her will.

that's fore sure. we will never know the whole truth. guilty or not this is not going to be good for him.

Well yes and no.

Sometimes a woman is asking to get her ass lit up in which case it would be self defense in my opinion.

The thing is women know this and often time they try to get in your face, even hit you in some instances knowing you cant touch them.

In my book once she's crossed the line of actually hitting me, I'm gonna push back. I'm sorry but I just am.

I understand the concept of not hitting a woman and I never have but I'm not just going to stand there while she plays punch the bag with my face you know.
 
I'll never hit a woman. I'll completely restrain her & hold her down till the authorities arrive, but id never leave a mark.
