Truck RACE thread --- Dover

Ugh, why does Kyle have to be racing at Kansas next week? I'll be there and would rather not have to witness Kyle winning a truck race.

That was awesome racing! Shame Noah couldn’t hang on to it.

Not remotely surprised how that turned out. These two don’t like each other. Neither gave an inch. Sucks for Noah.

I missed his interview? Damn maybe it will be on twitter later. I turned it over to the Braves game that's about to start. :(

Darn good race, it would have been better if Little didn't screw himself.

Not a bad little race. The end was just the difference between a 40 year old veteran knowing how to keep his truck straight against a kid who hadn't learned that bumping from the inside is often inadvisable.

Sounds like a good one, look forward to watching it later when I get home.

How a wreck can affect a small team like the one @j66anderson has put together:

He was 3 laps behind us too. Absolutely devastated right now. We had worked so hard all day. We were planning on taking that truck to Kansas and don’t have any of our other trucks complete. Not sure what our next move is but keep us in your prayers these next few days

Fontaine ran out of talent there.......his truck has been out of control several times today. Really hate it for @j66anderson

I’ll never understand why a 40 year old guy never leaves the Truck Series.

Totally missing the point.

They both love racing, which is why they both race. If you were Sauter, what would you do? Race for the best Truck team, or be a backmarker in Cup? Last time I checked, Gibbs wasn't offering Sauter a Cup ride.

I actually don’t see the point.
Are you not bagging on a 40 year old for racing in the Truck Series simply because he doesn’t have the talent to drive Cup?
Could Sauter qualify for a JGR Cup ride?

What's his age matter? Why can't a 40 year old race in the Trucks?

He's not good enough to drive for a top team in Cup, so he drives for a top team in the Trucks. It's that simple.

a 40 year old that never leaves.

You don't follow this stuff closely.

Sauter left, made the most of his ability, which nobody else in history had thought to compare to Kyle Busch's talent, and came back because that's where he tops out. There are a handful of Kyle Busch level drivers in the world. Everyone else gets as far as they can, just like the 50 year-old racing street stocks at the local short track. There's no shame in it.

I don't blame Busch for entering any races he's allowed to enter. And I don't blame the sanctioning body for deciding that lower series should stand more on their own.
