Truck RACE thread --- IRP

The overtime finish was relatively clean, good stuff. Nice charge by Enfinger and a rightful result.

However, DGR is wasting Ford Performance resources with two middling drivers.

I'm not sure if anyone is right in this case.

Taylor I think will be a problem once he turns 18. He's shown a lot of promise, in all honesty.

JHN didn't do himself any favors tonight trying to impress anyone to move up the ladder

He hasn't done that all year. His racing judgement is out of wack in my opinion. It goes way back when he drove Custer all the way down the wall at Canadian Tire and it hasn't got any better

Fresh tires?

She passed half the field in two laps. She really does show flashes of superstar potential, but never puts a full race together.
Be careful Andy.. Her #1 fanboi will make a voluminous amount of posts stating her meteoric rise to mediocrity...
In reality, good for her. It's about time...
Hopefully she garners more "likes and followers"...

What an awesome race. I absolutely love IRP and missed it a ton. The racing here is so damn good.

JHN is such a clown. He dumps the 17 and claims it was a mistake (year right) but when the 38 runs him up the track, JHN says it was intentional and he's "taking notes".....yeah OK, douchebag. I hope the rest of the field makes sure you don't win another one this year.

Joe Nemechek was such a clean and respectable racer. I don't understand how his kid ends up racing like such a dickhead. When he pulled the ridiculous move on Custer in Canada a few years back, MAYBE you could try and make an excuse for it. What's the excuse now? He's a veteran with several years of experience, including Cup.

He spun all by himself, and he also wiped out another truck when he hooked the grass besides. First rate clown show. He has never developed good racing judgement. He's ok when he is out front, but when he has to make racing decisions when back in the pack he's a mess. Can't convince me he didn't dump the 17 on purpose and it wasn't an accident. The 17 was on new tires and he was gone if he didn't dump him.

Ahhh. I love the bias nature of NASCAR fans. If a certain Mellon man made the move JHN did, oh it would be a great aggressive move. Such a shame.

(Before anyone ask, yes I didn’t like the move, because I actually keep the same energy no matter who does something)

The "energy" changes depending on the driver, as it should. Reputations are earned for a reason. If Mark Martin bumped someone, he would be given the benefit of the doubt. Dale Sr. on the other hand, well, look at the history there.

Also, go ahead and point out where I've applauded Ross for punting someone out of the lead, then getting upset because he can dish it out but can't take it.

You can't just paint a broad stoke over thus stuff. Context matters.

The thing is, Ross has done it a few times this season already, hell at Gateway seems he ran over everyone. But lot of folks had zero issue with it and called it “being aggressive.” Go back to when Ross got his first win, had no problem when he moved someone then to win. But him moving folks became a habit, which was why I started to have a problem. So Ross already is getting that reputation. But, some folks let it slide because they like him. Much like Earnhardt fans let it slide but was mad when Mayfield moved him.

Like look at last weekend, people called out Denny for getting PAYBACK, after Ross took him out twice. It’s because people dislike Denny, and the thing is I do also, but Ross had it coming. Only problem I had was it took out Harvick also, who wasn’t apart of it. But didn’t feel bad for Ross at all.

Not a big fan of IRP, one basic groove, but this was the best race of the weekend.
