Truck RACE thread ---Michigan

I don’t want “series regulars” to win. I want series regulars to move up and prove themselves at the next level. Lower series’ shouldn’t have decades old regulars. That’s not how this works. Who starts racing karts hoping they can be the next Ron Hornaday? Racers want to be Cup stars. This is why I have no respect for guys like Sauter and Crafton.

I’m sure they lose sleep over that. This sport was built on veterans in the lower divisions. The Busch series had guys like Jason Keller, Jeff Green, etc. and the Trucks has been built on veterans such as Hornaday, Mike Skinner, Sprague, and Sauter. Sauter is either the best or 2nd best driver in this series behind Moffit, who should have his ride and how would taking one of the best drivers out of the series help the series? Part of why Xfinity is garbage now is we don’t have any talented veteran drivers, instead we get Brandon Jones, Matt Tifft, and Michael Annett

Puke.
Maybe you don’t realize these are stepper series.
It would be similar to an MX rider staying in the novice division.

The saying "the cream always rises to the top" --- not every driver is "the cream".
Not every driver is cut out for the top tier.
Some of them just plug along, doing the best they can.

You’re entitled to your opinion, I’m asking who you’d like to take Sauter’s ride, Crafton as well.

NASCAR fans confuse me. “We want series regulars to win!” Sauter is one of only 2 good drivers in this series along with Moffit, and, everybody hates him and complains when he wins. Does this mean Kyle Busch should be allowed to race every week :p. The dumbest thing is this still does nothing for Moffitt’s career. TRD instead has contracts with average drivers such as Gragson and Todd Gilliland who get outclassed every week

Don’t say everyone hates him as I don’t. I like Johnny.

Why is he picking on the kids then?
People bag on Kyle for running a limited schedule in the lower series but have no problem with a 40+ year old that never leaves. :idunno:
That's where he's found his niche? He didn't have much success in Cup or Xfinity. Is he supposed to sit on his couch at home?

When did I say I wanted to “take someone’s ride?”
I just don’t think of them as credible competitors if they don’t have the cha-cha to advance.
They can keep their rides as far as I’m concerned. I’ll be here to bag on their lack of ability and drive to advance.

Lol don't start this again. It's been explained to you time and time again. Either you get it or you don't.

Cause Kyle has the talent to be and stay in Cup. Johnny made it there but didn’t have the talent to stay and hang with them. Maybe he could do Xfinity but would be a mid to back of the pack in Cup.

I don’t care where he sits. Am I supposed to sit here and bite my tongue when I recognize a driver with limited skills.
Why the hate when Kyle runs Cup or Xfin? Should he be treated differently than someone that couldn’t advance????

Sauter is a local star, at best. Just like Crafton. Just like Hornaday.
If Kyle should stay out of trucks and give the youngsters a shot, so should the other guys that show up to cherry pick the kids.
At least Kyle is involved in driver development.

Sauter is running full time in the series, he's running for the championship. If KB decided to drop down and run for the trucks title when he's older I don't think many people would have a problem with it

I don't know how this got from "Why hasn't Sauter moved up?" (he has) to another Kyle Busch thread.

If you’re winning the majority of races in the lower series, it’s time to move up.
I have no respect for guys like Sauter, Hornaday, Crafton...
Hell even Morgan Shepherd runs Cup.

...but not a guy that doesn’t move up?
Kinda like staying in grade school with a college degree.

Just because you’re winning in one doesn’t mean you will in others. Like I said MAYBE he can move up to Xfinity, but nothing higher. Why take a ride in the Cup series to just ride around and know you can’t win? Kyle, Brad, Harvick, etc are good enough to run Cup, that’s why people complain about them running in the series under it, they are good enough to be higher and are and showing how good they are in Cup.

I’ll pull for them to get beat every single time.
Y’all have a great weekend.
Woohooooooo, Moffit!!!

You just choose to ignore any logical explanation.

Look up the "Peter Principle" and apply it to racing. There's your answer for Sauter.
:p
No thanks. Your “logic” isn’t my logic.
Glad Sauter got his ass kicked by a youngster today.

Don't ask a question if you know you won't like the answer. We literally had this exact same discussion after the Dover truck race.

It's not that simple like having a stick n ball team saying, hey bud, we are going to move ya up. Drivers are not indentured servants, they have a whole different situation on where they run or what series they are going to compete in. They would have to be nuts to get out of a really good truck ride to get into a junk Xfinity ride unless the money was really good, or even more so to say hey, I am not racing in the trucks this year, I am winning too many races so I'm movin on up. I don't have a sponsor, or any funding at this point, or a car, or a team, but I'm movin on up.:po_O
