Trucks at Charlotte

Gotta tell ya....the hate on this thread is stupid. Kyle has repeatedly said that he would gladly step out of the truck if the sponsors would bite. They won't so he won't.

Yep the JGR cup program needs improvement IMO

Yes, they need to find some speed. However, all three in Chase position right now. They looked good today. Stay tuned.

I'd like to see some sources.

They say they want cup drivers to race in the truck and nationwide series to attract more fans, but me personally, watching Kyle Busch dominate these races makes me not want to attend them.

Then don't.

**** just got real

I prefer Jeff Gordon's point of view.
"I'm not gonna call him or tweet him on Monday. I'll see him on the track next Sunday"

It may not matter what I think, but there are thousands of other fans that feel the same way.

Source please or have you talked to thousands of fans about this?

Really, this bitching about Kyle in Trucks is the dumbest ass thing I have ever heard of. In NNS, we moved past that when the next 500 time Champion, Chase Elliot won. He beat the best they said, and that made it even more impressive. Now, the bitching has rolled into the Trucks where a fledging owner is trying to keep his team alive by driving his own stuff because that's what his sponsors want. Would Kyle drive a few regardless if the funding and driver were there? Yes, just like many other Cup regulars. He likes this driving thing. The competitor in him. Not the laying back kind of dude.

You were saying?

The antithesis of laying back. Drives his ass off. Silly? Maybe, but if I'm a Kez fan I never have to worry if he is trying. Not the kind to lay back. I can respect that.....and yeah, still a Cup Champion. As a Kyle Busch fan waiting for his first, I respect that.

For KBM to prosper its probably helpful to win races, beats the hell outta me why folks cant see that Kyle is simply doing what he has to do to insure his company has a future. Kyle is 2nd in all time truck wins, who better to drive his equipment

...and if you like driving racecars and have the opportunity, why wouldn't you?

The only reason you wouldn't would be that you were listening to the idiots who said you shouldn't. Damn, that is one hell of a profound statement. Just impressed the hell out of myself. Gonna be a good day!:punkrocke

How about that Brad K ? A cup champion out there racing his own trucks with the "little kids". Where is the outrage ??
Its all good as long as Brad isnt successful at it. Im quite sure Brad makes certain that his truck doesnt win any races, heard a rumor that he puts a rock under the throttle pedal to prevent it from moving more than half throttle

No, man, you don't have to do that stuff anymore. You can lay back now, and it's a smart move.

Funny thing is if it was the hater's favorite drivers doing this and winning, I have a feeling they wouldn't have a problem with it. They just don't like Kyle Busch, but hate to cut it to you guys, he isn't going away any time soon :)

Gosh I hope he isnt going away, I already paid for tickets to see him race at Phoenix in the fall :D High hopes he races all three events

And fans won't be going away to Truck races anytime soon either.

Quite frankly, I dislike when Harvick runs in the Nationwide Series. Richmond was a bore.

I kind of like Kyle. Though I like giving him crap cuz let's face it, he has it coming.

Most top drivers have the common sense to limit themselves running these lower tiers and some entirely stay away from it. That's recognizing and prioritizing their goals.

Kyle doesn't just run NW and Trucks because he loves racing. He wants to pad his stats. Simple.

Kyle is a NW champion. He should move on.

How many nationwide championships could he have by now ? If he were interested in "padding his stats" wouldnt 8 or 10 nw championships be a good way to do it, or am I missing something

I'm pretty sure Kyle is living his life the way he wants to, regardless of whether or not people on this forum approve.
For those that are disturbed by Kyle racing in any series other than Cup, why not just change the channel or oil your squeaker?

maybe not as many as you think, i'm sure other cup regulars would run for a championship too if allowed.

I was suggesting that Kyle could have just stayed in nationwide and racked up championships if he were only interested in "padding the stats".
Not all his endeavors have been successful anyway, the KBM nationwide program was more or less a failure, thankfully they have enjoyed much more success in the truck series and if Kyle can latch on to a good driver they can probably win a championship
