max's slap ta billy johnson----3/10
steen's sister's slap on max----9/10

he should take lessons from her. ha!

Read what Standonit said.

By all accounts Papis assulted another driver so that warrants some type of penalty wouldn't you say?
When Papis slapped Billy Johnson, he had his helmet on.. Wasn't a big deal IMO

Common sense? You referenced Petty to validate what happened today. When in fact that is misrepresentive of Pettys career and the way he raced.

Yes, common sense.

I didn't referrence Petty to validate what happened to day at all. I merely brought him up because even Petty who has by far the most wins, and almost most records in NASCAR did what he had to to win.

Fact is, you dont win 200 races without any sort of drama.

You cant 100% confirm he didn't crash or moved someone out of the way to win.

You'd be lying to yourself if you think he went 35 years in this sport without any sort of controversy because of how he won this race or that.

I'm sure you can understand why I'm having a tough time believing a man can go his entire career without having wrecked a single car for whatever reason.

Also just to put it out there, I'm not saying the King was a dirty racer either. Just that even the greatest of them all moved a car or two from time to time.

NASCAR ... Bill Elliott on the last lap of Truck race: "Chase done a great job. I was down in (turns) 8, 9, 10, spotting. When they came into 8, Chase was on the outside and got through there pretty well. Ty got into 9 pretty hard, got really loose and lost a lot of time. ... You get a pretty good position. (Chase) got a pretty good shot on him right there. Then it's up to the guy on the outside, well, whether you give, whether you don't, what do you do. When you're coming to the last lap, you've got the position, so what do you do? Well,I should have done this and I should have done that. All in all he did a great job. You put yourself in a position. I guarantee I've lost races like that many (more) times than I've won them. It all kind of comes around in the way it ends up in this sport. I'm sure it was a great TV race.''

Invasion of space all the same.

Thing I dont like about Papis is that he thinks he has some sort of right to start trouble in a series where he only races what? 3, 4 times a year?

He hasn't earned that right yet.

NASCAR ... What message did Ty Dillon give Chase Elliott after the race? Chase says: "He obviously wasn't happy. He has a right not to be happy. I wouldn't have been happy either. At the same time, like we all three said, you've got to do what you've got to do. I had the fender on him there. I might have got into 10 a little too hard, but I did have a fender on him, I felt like. He just told me that I was better than that and we're probably going to have some problems next week at Iowa, so we'll have to play it by ear when we get there.'

I think it's ironic that it's an Elliott and a Burton that are knocking people out of the way for wins.

Chase DID have a fender on him. That's good stuff right there.

he earned the nickname Mad Max long before Nascar...think about it.

Valid point.. I get pissed when Boris Said or Jaques Vilanueve run NASCAR regulars off the track and don't have to worry about payback the following week

I would rather see a bump and run with 2 to go than that dive bomb wrecking. Chase never would have made that turn at that speed if he hadn't used Ty's car as an emergency brake.

one more and then i'll be done here....

in my world of racing, getting a fender under someone means up to the door. not the rear quarter. from where chase was, there was only one ending to the move he made. as far as next week at iowa, only the points chase will allow Elliott to finish.

If Ty is smart, he waits until he can take a win from Chase by wrecking him. Chase isn't running for a championship, Ty is.

I was out all day I recorded the race and watching it now before the SC race. Hope they bring NW and SC up here I'd go watch it.

He's only 17?

Yep, and that is why he can only run limited races because of nascar rules. Chase turns 18 this November I am pretty sure so next season if they can get some sponsor money I was hoping they could run a full truck schedule. Or at least run more races than they have this year. This kid does not have much experience really in the trucks. He needs seat time.

Chase Elliott wrecks Ty Dillon to win truck race; Richard Childress furious

Richard Childress, Dillon’s grandfather and team owner, was furious over the incident.

"What goes around, comes around,” said Childress, who watched the race from Atlanta Motor Speedway, site of Sunday night’s Sprint Cup race. “That's all I can say. Ty handled it a lot better than I would.” Childress, who punched Kyle Busch two years ago for wrecking one of his grandsons, said that Elliott also wrecked Ty’s older brother Austin in similar fashion last year.

“Anybody could see that he never turned the wheel and just drove straight into him,” Childress said. “He said it in his interview — it’s the last lap, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. “That’s not the way you end up making friends.”

Why is Childress so protective of their grandsons? Let them solve it amongs themselves.

One day someone is going to punch his lights out.

It was Joey Coulter, not one of his grandsons.

Yes sir and I cant wait for that day. Childress is a hypocrite at best. He has forgotten how many people Big E wrecked on his way to victory. Back then it was just racin but now its personal. Funny how that works with him.

Trying to confuse me?

It says Richard Childress mad at Chase Elliot for wrecking Dillion and the latter is Childress grandson, is he not?

Kyle Busch got into it with Joey Coulter which started the tussle with Busch and Childress. The article states that it was because Busch wrecked one of Childress's grandsons.
