T-Mez wins the midget race at Huset's and finishes second in the sprint race to Tanner Thorson, with Brady Bacon in third. Track was great for feature time. This is the first time USAC has been there since the '90s. They will be running the next two nights, I'm thinking about heading up there either tomorrow or Sunday.

I remember USAC doing the same thing at a sprints race last year and that changed the winner too. They will absolutely throw the yellow at the last second with leaders coming to the checkers. It's...something. Their reasoning is that they will not do a yellow with the checkers because they don't want anyone racing to the line when there is an incident on track. However, that's another instance in which the spin was at the back of the field.

He was on the back stretch up high and upright. I could see it if he was on his side or on his lid.
 
Windom wins the midgets tonight, and Leary wins the sprints. Tomorrow for $20,000 to win in both divisions should be good.

Leary wins again tonight to take the $20,000 finale in the sprints. Strange format for lining up the A-Main with a huge invert, pretty much turned out to be pure luck for starting position among those who made the show, but oh well.
 
C.J. Leary on a hot streak drove from 8th place thru the field to win again

Qualifying underway at Eldora.

The midgets are faster than the Silver Crown cars. A lot faster.
 
Midgets look so small on half mile, Sunshine picks up the win
 
Windom wins the midgets, Courtney takes the sprints, and Logan Seavey wins the Silver Crown race at the Big E to close the points gap on Kody Swanson, who finishes fifth.
 
Holy crap what a finish Jake Swanson surprises Kevin Thomas Jr. and passes him on the outside in the final corner, winning at the line by 0.01 seconds after scraping the wall. Brady Bacon was a close third. Track was excellent for the feature.
 
Can't tell whether Grant had lost the RR tire and that's what caused him to get over the cushion and tag the wall coming to the white flag, or whether that's what flattened the tire.
 
The Western World in AZ for national sprints and midgets is tonight and tomorrow. I attended this event a couple times at the old Manzanita Speedway. Good fanbase there.
