Vintage Racing Photos

Ok - Thanks. His car is from my home town. I have probably seen him
race at my dirt track back in the late 70's or early 80's. Looks like
he was in the circle at an asphalt track.

Watermelon speedway Cordele Georgia. Vintage race. I think. Most likely a different driver pictured than the one from the 70s.
 
Ok . I do remember the name. Seemed like he always had a good top 5 car.
Looked him up and found an obit unfortunately.
Feb. 18,1941 - May 11, 2011 - 70 yrs.
Owned and Operated Brantley Automotive Repair Shop.

Did you read the scoop on the Woods brothers 16 car. They had the motor moved back where the front seat was for more rear grip hahaaa Driver sat in the back. :D Smokey had nothing on these guys.

Kentuckian “Bullet Bob” Reuther set the lasting record on the “Measured Mile” on Daytona Beach in 1957. He was in this tricked-out 1938 Plymouth, fires by a supercharged 1957 Chrysler V-8.
