Ok maybe another excuse to use the new toys, but I really like collecting. Was wondering what everyone else collects. I love hunting for antique furniture, depression glass, crocks, and Mary Moo Moo's. Show me or tell me your fav. collections. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

That purple insulator is the most prized TRL.......green is next! When I was doing cable tv construction years ago I found one insulator that was purple.......quite a few green and a lot of clear. Gave them to my mother, but I don't know what happened to them since.......guess my sisters got them in the estate when she passed away.

Glass door knobs are mostly the same........purple, green and clear.:)

those glass things are pretty...now what do you do with them now?
:D

I have about 1000 in my collection. Some are worth several hundred dollars. I have lots of the purples in beehives and ponys. Even have the 2-part petticoat in purple.

I have several Mickey Mouse, too. Have some from Canada, Mexico, Romania, and France.

cutiepie, I keep them in my windows. Make beautiful sun catchers with all the different colors.

Red is the rarest of the rare. Don't have a red on in my collection.

I have literally hundreds of elephants, from my Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mom, kids, hubby and friends. 8 new ones this Holiday season! Trunks must be up for good luck!

I work at an antique mall and we have several of those insulators. I love the colors. We have lots of jewerly. I love vintage purses and jewerly. My 9 year old already has several vintage necklaces and purses. The 6 year old collects horses. She has several art glass horses.

Kat we have a dealer that has hundreds of elephants! I can post some pic if you want. I'm sure she would ship!!

Sgbg, pics and prices would be great. Some of mine are from the early 1800s but all are priceless to me!

she still has a ton of them now.......

If she has the first McDonald's TY beanie baby (gold fish) it's worth over $300.00.I got a book on their values and you'd be surprised.

I'll have to ask her next time I call her.........don't know what she has........can't even remember what she gave me, they are in a plastic bag in my closet.......
:)

My daughter has about 200 hundred of them! She displays them in her room.

Here's some of my fav.

the first pic is mary moo moo's

This one is the antique wardrobe, it's over 100 years old. I love the look and color of the wood in it. The boards on the side are one piece of wood. There is only two on the back. The last pic will be my Moon and stars depression glass canisters. I love the red and blue colors.

Yeah, Kat I hope I haven't bored everyone. I love playing with the new toys! I just need to learn how to resize so not so big! I'll check on the elephants for you.

I have a Huge NASCAR collection!!!
I was setting up a spead sheet of my die-casts and had over 225 typed out and all, then i got up to look at one car and I hit the cord and it came unplugged from the wall. There is no battery in the labtop so the outlet is the only way I can run it right now. Luckyly I did savbe it a could times but i still lost about 20 minutes of work.

I am now just starting to collect NASCAR diecast. I want to get some rally diecast but I don't know where to find them.

money nascar cards nascar cars coins money steelers stuff amd nascar stuff`

I collect 1:24 nascar diecast. Got about 50 of them so far. Also Star Trek stuff.

I have a good friend who does new computer installs in businesses.

I collect the removed old systems then play with them. I'm working on a cluster setup with 24 cpu's now. I play on an older Dell quad proc server board with a matrox pci quad 128 mb vid card. The card isn't really a gaming card but serves the purpose for me well enough.

The only thing I collect is Elliott stuff. It all started when the Mrs got me an autographed #11 baseball cap. I don't go out of my way for this stuff, but if I see something, whether at the track or elsewhere, I'll pick it up. I've got a tire cover that I used to have on my Jeep Wrangler when I had it. Have a life sized standup cutout also. There are a lot more things I have around the house, but the smaller ones are in the picture below.

You don't got any of the #9 Dodge die-casts yet? I might have some pictures of my room up in a few weeks, and it will make that look like a flea in my room

Like I said, I don't go out of my way to collect things. I have yet to find in front of me a #9 die cast. Even when I went to the few races this year, I didn't find any for a good price, so, I'm minus one. Maybe next year. :)

ELEPHANTS again, thanks sgbg, and Jeff Gordon Ts, Pics, die casts, etc., and 1 voodoo doll with Brooke's face on it!

Buckster, this one's for you.

Thanks Kat! Isn't his smile neat? When he was young, his hair made him look pretty goofy, sort of Howdy Doody like. But he sure does make that car ryup! :)

Oh boy, where do I start?

KISS memorabelia
LPs
CDs
James Bond movies
Stephen King books
Appalachian folklore and history
Basset hound figurines
Dust
Pounds

Never been there, but we went to his shops outside Statesville, that is when he still owned it. I'd love to be able to visit the museum down there and of course, the Pool Room in Dawsonville. I know that Bill is nearing his retirement, though he did get a boost this year with his two wins, but still, the end is near. Maybe after this next year, or the next at the very most. Maybe before he does retire, we can make it down there.
