WOW!!

FYI, for those of you that love those red lobster bisquits like myself..... Bisquick has a garlic cheddar bisquit mix. It's .88 cents at walmart. All you do is add water and cook!! They're JUST like the ones at Red Lobster.

thanks, PenskeGirl, I'm on my way to walmart to stock up.:D :D

I havent heard of any of those places:p we do have dennys...
my fav eating place is anything Italian, lebonese or Turkish...

I liked Buger King when they had the poppers and cheese sticks!!
I will eat just abotu anywhere but Mexican is my favorite. So my favortie place is Puerta Viarta (sp?) Its a mexican restraunt that has 2 restraunts here only. Very good better that Chi-Chi's, and more stuff.

"Very good better that Chi-Chi's, and more stuff."

Live in TX for awhile and you'll never eat at chi chi's again!! Heck I can't even eat store bought salsa anymore! Those darn mexican's and their homemade salsa.... I literally drive 15 miles one way to go to an authentic mexican restaurant to get chips and salsa. Why can't there be more authentic mexican restaurants in PA ?!?! We have TONS of Puerto Ricans here, why can't we get mexicans ?!?! :)

I have only eaten at one Chi Chi's in Kansas City, and I didn't care for it. We have a Cuco's, but I don't care for it either. They are about the same. We have about 8 mexican sit down rests.:), and a few Taco Bells and one local fast food mex.

I have no real favorite place to eat, there are a number of places I like to go. A good start is anywhere that has chinese or italian food. Or burgers. I think that covers just about everything. hehe.

All time favorite is a place in Murfreesboro (the original restaurant in the chain is there, I think there are 5 or 6 others) called Toot's. It's like Hooter's, but cheaper, a tad more family oriented (skirts instead of shorts), and the food is out of this world. Best wings anywhere, great ribs, frog legs, specialty burgers, nachos......awesome place.

For chains, can't beat Waffle House. Patty Melt double plate, scattered and topped please.

For just a quick burger, Sonic or Wendy's.

I wish we had a Chik-Fil-A here. :(

Our restaurant row has 34 restaurants plus 2 that went out of bus. They are always full too. This in a big town of about 28,000.:)

WOW!! Burleson has grown tremendously in the last 6 yrs!!

Yes, penskegirl, it has. We also have a new Chick-Fil-A. The population in town has just about doubled in size over the last 6-7 years and is scheduled to double again in the next 5 yrs or so. If you are familiar with Burleson, then in what used to be the big open field just north of the Albertsons/KMart/El Chico (yuck) shopping center is this new huge shopping center. It has Kohl's/Pier 1/Dress Barn/Petsmart/Michaels/Ross/Famous Footwear/Staples and several other smaller stores. It is wonderful! Old Country Steakhouse closed down, but it is being remodeled to be Nawlin's Seafood Restaurant.

Can understand about the homemade hot sauce. Usually take some home from our local mex.food rest. Miranda's. All of the cooks are from Mexico.:D

WOW. I know exactly where you're talking about. Hard to imagine all that stuff there now. Before too long ya'll are going to blend right into to Ft. Worth like Arlington does!!

I've seen one before, but can't remember where. I'm pretty sure there's not any around this part of TX. Might have been in TN, or some part of the country between here (Burleson, TX) and Nashville, TN.

Ruby Tuesdays and Chilies are two of my favorite places to eat out at, but since I do work a lot I end up eating a lot of fast food or I order to the store (usually Italian or Chinese).

Kat, I think that Folks is different than Po Folks. I could be wrong though. I have a friend that managed a Po Folks for yrs and he said that they went out of business or bankrupt. I can't remember for sure which one now. I do remember them though. They served their drinks in mason jars and they called mountain dew "moonshine"

;)
