WNBA 2025

Wow.

AB and Howard have gone toe-to-toe with the presumptive MVP tonight and won. The box score isn’t going to fully reflect just how well they were able to out-physical Collier tonight.

A lot of talent on Indiana. Wonder when Caitlin is coming back and how it will change the flow of things.

I didn't see the game (that has been an unfortunate recurring pattern this season), but props to Indiana on the Commissioner's Cup dub. Phee or no Phee, you can't win 'em all.

Ugh, just found out that Golden State waived Julie Vanloo right after she and Belgium won the Eurobasket gold and she was on her way back to Cali. She even skipped the championship celebration so she could get back quicker, but apparently, she wasn't quick enough. SMH.

Julie is a sentimental favorite of mine - just a fearless hustler. I hope another team scoops her up.

Well-deserved win for the Fever. The entire team deserves an MVP for this win against the previously unbeaten Lynx at their home.

AND it wasn't just any team that beat the Lynx, it was the INDIANA FEVER.

I suppose there’s no better time to expand than now, but going from 12 to 18 teams in such a short period of time is really aggressive. I’m not sure the talent pool is big enough for that, and the workload is probably set to get even harder, assuming 50% more teams means a lot more games. Players are already complaining about the cadence of the expanded schedule this year and there’s only so many days in either direction you can expand the calendar.

Mercury’s Satou Sabally Sends ‘Slap in the Face’ Message About WNBA’s CBA Offer

As Sabally put it, the excitement around new teams is real, but the league can’t “add more to the grain” without first ensuring it can fully support what’s already been sown. With the CBA deadline looming at the conclusion of the 2025 season, all eyes are now on how the league might respond.

From the Fever's facebook account:

Coach Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever team just warmed the hearts of fans by donating their entire $500,000 prize from winning the WNBA Commissioner's Cup Championship to help the homeless and fight hunger in the city of Indiana.

I've never been to this city of Indiana ;) but this was a nice gesture.

Nothing to see here, just a precious little chat with the adorable Li Yueru. I'm totally with her on the rides. :lol2:

I'm starting to like this scrappy little team in DC as well. They might be moving up to my number two team.

Liking what I've seen from their rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen.
Now you're speaking my language, brother. I love those Mystics. Just a wholesome, fearless young squad that plays hard, plays together, and never gives up.

Sonia carries herself with an almost veteran poise, and I have a soft spot for Kiki. I enjoy watching her compete against the veteran bigs. Yes, they get the better of her at times, but she holds her own and doesn't quit.

I'm already looking forward to hopefully seeing how Georgia Amoore fits in with them next year.

They have already become my favorite #2 team. They jumped ahead of the Liberty. Enjoy watching them.

The way the Fever are playing right now there is not a WNBA team that can beat them. The whole team is playing superb. the teamwork is just wonderful to watch.

Final score: Fever 81 - Vegas 54.
Outstanding game by Indiana. I am amazed how well every single player on their team is playing.

Julie has signed with the Sparks. Glad she found another home, and not too far away from where she was before.

I fully expected a hangover game (quite literally) for Indiana last night, but they once again showed just how high their ceiling is. Mitchell continues her hot streak and AB continues to dominate down low. Two games in a row she’s shown her physicality against two of the toughest defenders in the league and came out on top. Multiple times she lowered her shoulder into the body of A’ja Wilson last night and was able to drive her backwards.

Lots of great ball movement last night as well. As a team they seem to have adjusted their offense well by now to compensate for the absence of Clark. Good sets and more importantly, better timing.

Aliyah Boston has been an absolute beast.
